  • 10/10 trivia!
Great newer version of trivial pursuit and can be a fast paced game or can take a long time, design is great and easy to learn! Great family game night!

  • A Terrific Edition of the Classic Game!
I have the original game from the 1980s. We still play it at home and love it. But after decades of playing the same questions, we wanted to spice up our gameplay. After scanning the card sets out there, it made the most sense to buy the new version of the game, board and all. I'm so glad we did. The new version is colorful and vibrant. They replaced the old brown (literature) with purple and the design POPS! The wedges now have height to them and go into the game pieces more easily. The updated questions are challenging and fun. I like the fact that some of the questions are visual (with pictures on the card that you have to identify). And some answers include a sentence of trivia to explain a bit further. The new game comes with a timer (which we didn't use and which I think is an unnecessary addition). Otherwise, I'm completely happy with this purchase. Updated questions, turbo-charged design, still thoroughly enjoyable! ... show more

  • Great Game from 2009
Game came in in excellent condition. We have been on the hunt for a game with "new" questions, and many of the newer versions are a bit gimmicky. So we tired this one, because it looked like it could be a recent edition. When the game arrived, the copywrite date was 2009. Still, we are enjoying it!

  • Different but fun!
I got this game for my brother and sister-in-law for Christmas. We all enjoy playing Trivial Pursuit and were excited to try out the new version of the game with new questions and a TIMER! Where the questions are concerned, we thought that they were phrased a lot better and were easier to understand. It also felt good to be able to know some of the answers just because I lived through the time period in question. The timer is also nice because it gives everyone a very specific time limit and makes the game go a bit faster. When we first tried the timer, we were a bit skeptical because it was almost like the jeopardy song in terms of the sound effect. But we got used to it and came to appreciate it. Another thing that we had to get used to was the reformatting of the cards. They changed the colors and made it so you had to flip the cards a different way to read the answers. Which was something I was willing to get used to. The only thing that disappointed all of us was the fact that they gave us so few cards. My sister-in-law made the point that if they made the boxes smaller we wouldn't have noticed. But each box is filled about half-way. How disappointing is that!?! ... show more

  • great game, both modern and throwback questions
I got this for my grandparents for christmas. we always play the traditional trivial pursuit together and have lots of fun, but my boyfriend and i have a hard time with some of the questions as they are before our time, so i got this for my grandparents so we could play together & it is perfect! we play this new one every time and it has both newer and older questions so it isn’t unfair in either way! i still lose to my grandparents with this newer edition lol ... show more

  • Fantastic game!
I love this game back in the 1980s and 90s. However trying to play my original Trivial Pursuit game from that time frame doesn't work very well. The questions are very outdated on the old version, which is why I ordered this new version. The questions are perfect. My 14 and 17 year old kids had a blast, although we do typically play the shorter version where you get a wedge for any questions answered correctly, not just on the wedge space. I gave four stars on good for traveling because it is a large item with small pieces oh, so you would not be able to play this on the plane or somewhere that you did not have a fairly large table space to put the board on. Overall a great game, educational and fun for kids even as young as 14. ... show more

  • Great Game
Kudos to Hasbro! I have been waiting for a new version of Trivial Pursuit with questions that appeal to different generations and this game fits the bill. I also am pleased that Hasbro continues to manufacture a high quality game. Many times toy companies start to cut corners by manufacturing flimsier and flimsier boards and game pieces. Hasbro uses the same sturdy board and card boxes. They have redesigned the wedges so that the wedges cannot get stuck in the movers ("pies" to us). They also have included a timer if you are so inclined to use one. We have not used the timer because half the fun of this game is one team discussing the questions and the other team rolling their eyes, complaining about how much time they are taking and remarking how *anyone* could answer the question with the time they are taking. Peer pressure usually limits the discussion time. You get the picture! My only suggestion would be for Hasbro to redesign the timer so that one does not have to hunt down a phillips screw driver to install/change the battery. That is just my personal preference though. I would recommend this game to others. ... show more

After reluctantly ordering this game because of suggestions by friends and family, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. Will definitely order some more board games from Amazon in the future!
