The media could not be loaded. I pre-ordered this for myself months ago. These are hands down the most beautiful and artistic versions of the Harry Potter book series. The quality is exceptional. I have three copies of the series (my old books from initial release, the complete red hardback copies with Hungarian horntail box, and now starting to collect these) and can confirm that these are truly the most elite version to date. Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima (MinaLima masterminds) created the graphic designs behind all the famous graphic elements of Harry Potter as seen in films. They created the famous letter from Hogwarts, the Marauders Map, Daily Prophet, the howler, the black family wallpaper, the wanted posters and so much more. I have grown up reading the books, watching the films and am beyond obsessed with the Wizard World. These books are so ornate and astonishing to someone who has reread the series multiple times, that it feels like I am reading the novels as a child for the first time. The book has several popup elements, beautiful color images, and more that make it such an interactive reading experience. From the high-quality hardback cover to each colored image, to the perfectly printed paragraphs, the work is phenomenal. Pros: -Beautiful Green Hardback cover with gold foil details -Thick sturdy pages -Pop out panels for a more interactive experience -High resolution vibrant colors throughout Cons: -Be mindful about the pop-up/interactive features around younger children, while this is very sturdy it can rip if mistreated. -doesn’t come in resealable plastic bag to protect it like the last book A few Important Spells (with Immaculate Illustrations) mentioned in this: -Oculus Reparo -Immobulus -Fera Verto -Finite Incantatem -Expelliarmus -Everte Statum -Serpensortia -Vipera Evanesca -Wingardium Leviosa -Cistem Aperio -Arania Exumai -Obliviate Overall: My videos and images do not do this justice! This review is not for the actual text but for the MinaLima edition. This is a must for Potter collectors already familiar with The Chamber of Secrets, however, I would strongly recommend going with a different version if this is the first approach to the text. Unfortunately, as with MinaLima's Sorcerer's Stone, this one also has a few typos, and some of the design choices that make it hard to read the text in some pages. This is not a cheap edition, so, encountering typos and design flaws in what could have been the perfect Chamber of Secrets edition is a little painful. Still worth it for the overall design but I wish more attention would have been put into the most important element of the book: the text.

Ok so last year when sorcerer’s Stone came it was in a resealable bag. I liked that as it kept the pages from getting crumpled and still looked nice on the book shelf after enjoying the book. Chamber of secrets had plastic wrap on it that there was no way to reseal. I’m going to try it in a ziploc bag but not sure if it will look good on the shelf. I love the illustrations just as much as last year. And can’t wait till the rest of the books come out. I just hope they actually do get to come out. Lol some may have to be 2 books and not just 1. They would be world atlas size otherwise. Edit 10-27 I did get it to fit in a 1gallon bag but it is tite.

The media could not be loaded. I preordered this the second I received the first book because I was so impressed with that one that I knew I’d have to get this whole series. These books are a treasure. They’ll be on my bookshelves wherever I live for the rest of my life. The illustrations throughout are stunning and so creative. If you have a Harry Potter fan in your life, get them these books, I promise they will be delighted!

The amount of detail in this book is just as good as the first, looking carefully crafted with love for the universe and work they were doing. Wonderful, I love the illustrations almost more than the first, though the first has some of my favorite interactive pop ups. A huge thanks to the creative at Mina Lima for bringing so many iconic moments in this book to further life in a way that the big screen can’t capture and can only be held in a book! I got it for my nieces, but I will have to get myself one later as a collector’s item. Just a warning, there is some blood and scary bits brought to life as well, but surely nothing a Harry Potter loving kid hasn’t read or seen from the movies. Mina Lima does a good job making things cute and safe — even the spiders!

I purchased this book for my daughter who is still obsessed with Harry Potter after 20+ years! This book is easily the most uniquely beautiful Happy Potter book I have ever seen. The color on the pages just pop out of the book - literally - as the book is filled with pop-outs. If you want to IMPRESS those Harry Potter fans in your life, just purchase this form them! You will be promoted to "Best Gift Giver" for sure!

My six year old son and I absolutely loved reading the first two books together. We loved literally everything about them! Since we just finished back to I went to put it on his shelf and noticed that every single corner has stress and tear marks. I was hoping these books would be passed down to his children someday but they clearly won’t last that long if they look like this after one week of reading
