I'm a guy who has issues finding large wide shoes that actually fit. if you are thinking about buying these you may want to order your regular shoe size and another pair a size smaller, because you will probably need the smaller size. These Harley-Davidson Bateman 5” boots look like they ride before you even start the engine. Solid leather, metal hardware, clean rugged style — they absolutely nail the “walk into a room like you own a bike” vibe. Build quality feels legit. Thick leather, sturdy sole, and they feel like they could survive a bar fight, a road trip, and a bad decision or two. Now for the honest part (because 4 stars): the break-in period is REAL. Out of the box, they’re stiff. Not unbearable, but you’ll know you’re wearing new boots. After a few rides and some walking, they soften up nicely — but don’t expect slipper comfort on day one. Grip is solid, ankle support feels secure, and they pair great with jeans. Just plan a little time to break them in before a long day on your feet. Four stars. Roomy, comfortable, stylish, grippy soles. I would go down half or one full size, unless you're like me and use I soles and thick wool compression socks. I have a difficult time finding shoe/boots that fit well as I have EEE feet. These boots are truly EEE. They provide good ankle protection, are very good regarding non-slip when wet and very comfortable. I’ve been wearing a “traditional” MC boots for year (ones with heels), and although I do like that the heel catches the pegs when shifting around I am preferring these new boots for walking around in and when coming to a complete stop. I’ve found that since the bottoms are flat there is more surface area touching the ground and I’m not dealing with the back of the boot being higher than the front. I actually never gave that much thought until the first time I did a complete stop. That’s what really sold me on the boots. I would buy them again and would also recommend them.
