Description

Old Swede, this liquorice is salty! At HARIBO we love diversity and know that sometimes it has to be salty. Salty liquorice is especially popular in the far north, which is why we also have salty liquorice specialties for you, such as our HARIBO salt pretzels. And because not only gourmets know how well salt and sugar harmonize, these salty liquorice specialties also get a candying. Thanks to her, they develop their salty taste only when chewing. To fall in love with - not only for Sweden! Whether you’re at the beach, at a picnic, or just skipping through the forest, you’re sure to have a “liquorice day” with these fun-loving liquorice gummi candies. Haribo, founded in 1920 in Bonn, Germany by Hans Riegel, is one of the most prominent manufacturers of sweets (namely fruit gums, licorice, and foam) in the world. The company name is an acronym for "Hans Riegel, Bonn" and stands as a reminder of Haribo's continuing loyalty to early traditions. After Hans Riegel died during World War II, his son, also named Hans Riegel, took over the factory and expanded its operations, taking over many local confectionery manufacturers in countries all over the world. Currently, Haribo operates five factories in Germany and 13 throughout the rest of Europe. The company also has sales offices in almost every country in Europe as well as in the Unites States. Haribo's German catch phrase is "Haribo macht kinder froh / und Erwachsene ebenso," which translates as "Kids and grown-ups love it so / the happy world of Haribo." Enjoy anytime!

  • These are Delicious
I have a German Deli, these always Sell Out!

  • Liked that they were less salty than some, but...
I liked that these tasted a bit less salty to me than some other similar products and that they were fresh. Big fan of Haribo but the more pronounced ammonia-like finish is an aspect of flavor for which I have not yet acquired a taste. Really tasty and not too sweet, I enjoyed that they are more of a gel type of licorice rather than a sticky, flour-based item. I think it gave a cleaner texture? I don’t know enough to say it properly, but maybe it will help...If you are a fan of salty licorice, then you may enjoy this variety! ... show more

I love them, might not be for everybody, but I‘m used to German candy.

I actually didn't really like these. They were way sweeter than I had expected. I also bought Haribo Piratos, which were exactly what I was looking for. I am giving the Haribo Salty Licorice Pretzels 4 stars because, even though they are not my cup of tea, they are definitely unique...I haven't had any other candies that are the same. They taste like typical "black licorice jelly beans" (which I don't really like) with just a hint of saltiness, and the texture of sour patch kids, but larger and in the shape of pretzels. If you like sugary black jelly beans and you like how sour patch kids feel (texture-wise), you'll love these. If you're looking for chewy/gummy "salty" licorice, you should try the Haribo Piratos. ... show more

  • Good chew, fresh candy
These came fast and were very fresh! They are lightly salty, with more of a "molasses" flavor to them than I was expecting. I like really salty licorice, the kind with the strong kick of ammonia, and this is more on a par with the licorice pellet inside a piece of good n' plenty. If you are craving that jolt of ammonia, this is not your candy; but if you like a mild salty licorice these are nice and fresh. ... show more

  • but still worked fine for me
Not as salty as I expected them to be, but still worked fine for me. I guess I was looking for more of those super salty and sour black licorice that they sell in Finnish supermarkets where you weigh-in candy by yourself in a paper bag. But arrived on time, no complaints about the seller - solid 4

  • Appealing cross between salty licorice and movie theater sweets
Ideal for that moment when you cannot decide if you want salty licorice of a gummy bear.

  • Interesting
For some reason I thought these were going to be Salmiak gummies, and boy was I wrong. They are soft, and sweet/salty. The licorice flavor is nice, but the texture is more of a jelly candy than a gummy. Not good for my taste, but enjoyable enough. I ordered a bag of mini super piratos and will be giving these away to a friend. XD ... show more
