Size Name: 1/4 inch 48" x 100 ft Color: Black - 1/4" Openings
Not only has the shipping been crazy fast, the product it self has been extremely sturdy, no issues with rust. Stronger than the other brands and it comes with zip ties. It truly doesn’t get any better than that!

Snake protection for chickens/quail.
Size Name: 1/4 inch 48" x 100 ft Color: Black - 1/4" Openings
I prefer the 1/4 for snake protection with my smaller birds/quail/chickens. Previously I purchased the regular not coated wire. But this black coated 1/4 is exactly what I needed and is much easier to work with. The black makes it easier to see the birds inside. So far I’m extremely pleased with this purchase. ... show more

Made to last
I recently purchased the FAUNA SHIELD Hardware Cloth 1/2 inch 24" x 100 ft Mesh, and here are my detailed thoughts on this product: **Quality and Durability:** The hardware cloth is made from 19-gauge wire, which provides a perfect balance between strength and flexibility. The black vinyl coating not only enhances its durability but also adds an extra layer of protection against rust and corrosion. This makes it ideal for outdoor use, ensuring it will last for years despite exposure to the elements. **Size and Coverage:** At 24 inches in height and 100 feet in length, this roll offers ample coverage for various applications. Whether you’re building a chicken coop, protecting your garden from rodents and predators, or creating a fence, the size is more than adequate for most needs. **Mesh Size:** The 1/2-inch mesh size is perfect for keeping out small animals like gophers, rabbits, and other rodents while allowing for proper ventilation and visibility. It effectively prevents unwanted critters from entering your space without obstructing your view or airflow. **Ease of Use:** Working with this hardware cloth is relatively easy. The wire is flexible enough to cut and shape as needed but strong enough to maintain its form once installed. It’s straightforward to unroll and secure with standard tools and fasteners. The PVC coating also makes it easier to handle, reducing the risk of scratches and cuts during installation. **Versatility:** This hardware cloth is incredibly versatile and can be used for a wide range of applications. It’s excellent for creating chicken wire fencing, garden enclosures, protective barriers for trees and plants, and even DIY projects around the home. Its robust construction and effective mesh size make it suitable for multiple uses. **Appearance:** The black vinyl coating gives the wire a sleek and professional appearance. It blends well with most outdoor environments, providing a visually appealing and discreet barrier. The coating also adds a layer of smoothness, making it more pleasant to work with and handle. **Minor Downsides:** There are very few downsides to this product. One minor issue is that the roll can be somewhat heavy and cumbersome to handle alone, particularly for larger projects. Additionally, while the PVC coating is generally durable, it can be damaged if not handled carefully during installation. **Conclusion:** Overall, the FAUNA SHIELD Hardware Cloth 1/2 inch 24" x 100 ft Mesh is a top-notch product that delivers excellent quality and performance. Its durability, versatility, and ease of use make it an outstanding choice for a variety of applications, from animal enclosures to garden protection and beyond. Despite a couple of minor handling challenges, it earns a solid 4.8 out of 5 stars. Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable and effective wire fencing solution. ... show more

Trying for a bunny proof yard
We use this to attach to the bottom of the 450' of various types of fences that surround our back yard to keep the rabbits out of the vegetables and flowers. It fills in the gaps between bars on the wrought iron fence, extends the cedar fence to the ground, and its holes are smaller than the ones on the chain link fence. It easily bends at a 90 degree angle to extend about a foot out from the fence to deter digging under the fence. I love the vinyl coating. It appears it will last a long time. The only drawback for me is that the holes are really small; smaller than they need to be to keep even the smallest critter out. So, it takes about 40 snips with a wirecutter to cut off a section. All in all it's a great product at a really good price. ... show more
