These aren't the fancy hinged, plastic covers I was initially looking for, but they're cheaper and do the job. They're essentially just big hunks of rubber with a channel along the bottom. I've used them for running an extension cord from my home to the outdoor patio, and they're perfect at preventing trip hazards that could hurt people or damage anything that's plugged in. They're pretty heavy and do a good job holding down a tangley power cord. As others have mentioned, they have a strong rubber smell that will hopefully subside over time. Within an hour of delivery, they had my home smelling like a tire shop. It was kind of nice for the first few minutes, but it wasn't long before they made their way out to the garage. Price was perfect! Each piece is thick and has weight to it. Easy to place over hose. Only one con…..the smell! Wow! It’s pungent. But, product is being used outside to protect the garden hose going across the driveway so honestly, you only smell it when you’re outside. Guessing with time and being in the air the smell will lessen. It was finally time to invest in hose guards after having to replace hose after hose after hose due to being driven over. In case curious why the hose is left across the driveway, it runs to the pasture and stays connected all the time. Highly recommend this product. I'm sensitive to odors, but I'd venture to say that anyone who can't smell these should probably have their sniffer checked out. They stink! I was grateful that they were downwind from me when I put them in. The offgassing happened quick enough though and now I don't notice it, although I've never bent down and taken a big whiff. They do fade quickly and look pretty ragged after a short time if left in a sunny spot, but that's no big deal to me. They get run over by the UPS man almost daily so I wouldn't expect them to stay looking spotless. ... show more

I bought these to protect a wire across the driveway. These arrived and I didn’t expect the box to be so heavy. They feel very heavy duty. However, they smell awful. Lots of offgassing. Luckily they are being used outside. Time will tell if they can handle the weather.

These cable covers are marked VEVOR name brand but have a very strong rubber smell. Our application is for outside use and a few days in the sun somewhat reduced the odor. We found them useful to run hotel power to an outdoor stage

I bought these to place over my EV charging cord so my wife didn’t need to unplug it when she pulls into the garage. The ramps are thick, heavy, and durable so far. They keep the cable in place and safe, which is exactly what I needed them for. It’s worth pointing out these just lay on top of the cord, there’s no way to secure the cord to them unless you tape them in. The ramp has a simple groove in the center, no flaps or latches to keep the cable in place. While I don’t anticipate this being an issue, if you find the ramps shifting, the cord may slip out. The smell has been brought up, and it’s pungent and clings to you. While not an issue for being in a garage, using these in a office or the like would require some time to outgas and wash. The paint and die cut aren’t great, indicating a rushed production and low QC. Ultimately it doesn’t really matter since I have mine in a garage, so function is my main concern. For $10 a piece, this is a good value for a heavier cable protector for outdoor uses. ... show more

The groove on the bottom fits perfectly over 1 garden hose (medium duty thickness hose). Not much room for anything else…maybe an extension cord, if that. I have to drain the water from the swimming pool cover down to the street, so this is the best solution I’ve found to protect my hose from getting punctured or flattened. PS - These smell horrible, even when in the box. So don’t leave them indoors after delivery! ... show more
