I ordered one brand new hook and one "used like new" to save money. But I discovered there were no screws for the used item. These are screws that were impossible to find in a hardware store. They have a shoulder in them where the set screw slides in; in addition, the head of the screw needs.to be quite narrow to sink into the part you have to set into the base. I managed successfully to recreate my own screw by finding a narrow headed wood screw and then twisting in a "shoulder" using a plastic spacer I created by slicing a piece off a a drywall anchor. This came in a tiny little box, excellently packed in 3 pieces plus hardware. Beautiful when installed and very sturdy. Potential buyers should take note: If you're installing into concrete or solid wood, you're good to go with what is included, but due to the hardware provided (see pic) you MUST use the included screws, because they have special heads that hold the two "hook" pieces (with set screws - hex key included). So if you're wanting to install onto a hollow door (who would put a robe hook on a door, besides most people?) or into drywall, special considerations have to be made. Hollow doors are a challenge to mount anything to, but since the mounting screws sit about 2" apart, there's no way you could get both screws into a stud if you happened to have one where you want to mount this on drywall. IMO, the best options for drywall are "molly" fasteners or toggle bolts, both of which use machine threaded screws, and as you can see, these screws that you must use have a sheet-metal thread. The instructions specify that the screws AND "dowels" are for use in concrete only, but these are typical wood/sheetmetal type screw threads (and this appears to be stainless steel, but I'm not sure). Let me say before I go on that my mounting was on a hollow door that is in pretty bad shape and will eventually be replaced with solid wood where the included fasteners won't be a problem at all. But on this door, I had previously mounted a standard issue vertical double hook (all the benefits of one hook and also the drawbacks - might as well be one hook) using plastic "toggler" hollow door anchors. These anchors are great but they DO have a flange that sticks up above the surface - they kind of have to to hold properly. Since I didn't have any more of these on hand, I created the wood block shown to adapt to the existing anchors - ie the block is screwed into the anchors and the robe hook screws are screwed into the wood block via pilot holes (they are pretty long, so they actually protrude into the door as well). Using an adapter block like this would allow installation just about anywhere using whatever hardware works best and the block could be painted or waterproofed if water was an issue. In my picture, you can just make out the spacer I put behind the block to keep it from rocking on the flanges of the anchors (I will trim it back later so it's not visible). This made for a very sturdy installation, another option would have been to drill countersinks of sorts into the back of the block to accommodate the anchor flanges allowing the block to sit flush against the door. In a new installation, I would imagine the included screws could be used with the "toggler" type anchors directly on a hollow door but they might be visible. Installation considerations aside, assuming a solid mounting, this is a very nice piece of hardware. The price is definitely steep - and note, this is made in China, not Germany. Instructions are in 30 different languages but there's not much instruction really needed here, the pictures explain it pretty well. The construction and plating appear to be very high quality and it looks like it should last a while. Overall, a nice functional item, very stylish and sturdy. Deducting a star for price and lack of installation options.

The quality of this robe hook is excellent. It’s heavy and has perfect (included) hardware. But it’s so small! There’s no way I can hang two robes or towels on it at the same time. I have super tiny hands and it is still smaller than my palm.

I absolutely love the look of everything from Hansgrohe in the “Brushed Black Chrome” color. It’s such a modern and masculine look. This little hook though seems really expensive for the size of the product. I think you should get two of the “double Robe hooks” for the list price of $55. That being said, if installed correctly, this will last forever and you’ll never have to buy another. It’s extremely well made and durable/ strong. The install screws are under the hooks, then you attach the front two hooks to the wall mount plate using the provided Allen key. Made in China.

You never really know the quality of this type of item until it arrives and you get to actually touch it and see it in person. I was very impressed by the quality and durability and finish on this towel hook. I also love how compact it is. My old towel hook used to jut out from my bathroom door so far that it would dent the wall. This is small and robust and the polished chrome finish is exactly what I needed to match the other hardware in my bathroom. In fact, from the same brand I ordered a towel rack with a shelf. The two items look beautiful together and the finish is a perfect match. Sometimes even though two products will say that they have the same “chrome” finish, if they weren’t made in the same factory or by the same company, there will ultimately be variations when you look up close. So I’m glad I was able to find actual sister products here. If you’re looking for something small and modern that gets the job done and will last forever, look no further.

This hook from Hansgrohe is a phenomenal, Extremely well built product of German quality. The set includes three things, a mounting kit, a mounting plate and the product itself. The instructions tell you how to very easily install this by creating mounting holes and attaching the mounting plate onto a wall in a level fashion and the hook itself connects to the mounting plate using a hidden but very strong screw. The complete product is an extremely sturdy, designer high fashion hook for any bathroom.

So this is a robe hook, or if you don't have a robe, towels work exceptionally well just the same. The instructions and parts are all nestled tightly within a small 2x1x1 box. It is not a difficult installation and is generally the same as most types of wall attachments. Hansgrohe is a well-known and quality brand, and for something as simple as this, the quality is still top of the line. These are smaller than I expected, however, they are more subtle than a large hook and add to the decor of the bathroom. So I am very pleased overall with these. These are more worthwhile if you make the brand theme in your bathroom, otherwise, these are just expensive robe hooks.
