Was working on a 8x12 garden shed with a peak of 17ft. Trying to cut the shingles with a hook knife on the ladder was pretty risky feeling. I was having to apply alot more pressure than I was comfortable with. I have used a occilating tool in the past and found these hook knife blades. These cut through those shingles like butter. In some places there are full 4 shingle thick overlaps and these still chew right through. If you're doing some Non-OSHA approved DIY shingle work and have a occilating tool, these might save you a fall or a nasty cut. I only used a single blade for both ends. It's pretty gunked up from the tar, but if I cleaned it, it'd probably still be useable. For the price and the saved effort these are more than worth the cost.

Decent and not good with regular cardboard which was the main purpose I bought them. I always have issues with landscaping plastic but this tool cut it off in almost a perfectly straight line.

The blades are not as tough as Dewalts but a lot cheaper. You only get 2 metal blades. I like the inch markings on some of the blades.
