They are opaque, but not TOO sheer which is great. Warm. Smooth texture that is a lot less polyester-like to the other brand I bought. Overall, I really like these! These Hanes Curves control-top sheer tights fit perfectly and held up all day with no ripping or discomfort — even after spending an entire day walking around a theme park.
