The fabric is soft & there's quite a bit of stretch but this shirt is def not fleece by any stretch of the imagination & it's not that warm. In fact the fabric is fairly thin & will show every lump & bump so I'd def order a size up from your normal size. I'm 5'2" & weigh 112 & usually wear a medium...but bought a large in this shirt so I could to wear it with leggings. I like the covered zipper @ the neckline when I'm out biking & also like that the back of the shirt is quite a bit longer than the front. I'm usually not a big fan of Hanes....but this shirt is acceptable for spring/fall.

I was misled by the description. It's very thin and not anything close to fleece. Seems to be decent quality, but it's not what I as looking for. Also, I think the one I received had been returned - zipper was undone and it had a strong perfume smell.

I did not expect to like this as much as I do. The fabric is incredibly soft and and comfortable - perfect for a light weight layer under a fleece, or the outer layer over a tshirt or sports tank. One of the things I like the most is how the back is cut. The front is even and straight, while the back hangs lower and is dipped a bit low for rear coverage. It is perfect for leggings or jeans.

These are my fresh out of the package impressions: --No, it's not fleece, but has a slight fleeced finish inside to wick perspiration. I do have a fleece quarter zip. I will use each for different conditions and may even wear this top under the thicker fleece pullover. --The Underwater Blue appears turquoise on my computer screen. It's closer to a strong teal. --The neck is a little taller than other performance performance tops I've bought through Amazon. I like it. --The sleeves are raglan, rather than inset sleeves. I'm usually not a fan of raglan sleeves, but these fit me well. --The fit is very comfortable for this 5' tall, 114 lb., 36 bust woman. Another review said it was loose. For me, an S is perfect. I don't like either a compression fit or Tee-shirt fit. This top is in between, slightly fitted. --I also feel comfortable with the Hanes brand. This winter, I've bought several base layer tops from different manufacturers. I never knew what I was getting because I'd never heard of the companies. I knew what I was getting by ordering the Hanes brand and knew it would likely fit. I hope this helps as you think through whether to buy or not.

Hanes is a well known brand. In reviewing the reviews on this product it appeared that the consensus of opinion was the top ran slightly small. I took this into consideration and ordered my normal small. It does run slightly snug but works as a layering piece under my work shirt. Next time I purchase this I will order a medium to get a somewhat looser fit. Material is great. Just make sure that you order a size that will work for what the purpose that you have in mind (layering or wearing as a stand alone piece).

I'm tall and thin and got a medium. The sleeves fit well on my 6' tall body but the coverage down at the waist was not sufficient. This is made for cold weather and the fabric is so very similar to a really expensive exclusive "outdoor" brand. I usually wait for those tops to discounted, they sell for $90, this Hanes Sport top is 95% of what the expensive brand is for a fraction of the cost of the expensive brand. Except those expensive tops are much much longer in the body and slightly longer in the sleeves. Being that I use this weight of fabric down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit for running I don't want cold leaking in between my tights and top and this top would for sure let the cold in. Sadly this top has to go back. I am guessing that people up to 5' 6" would get the best midriff coverage from this top.

I love this top! I ordered the gray in my regular size (medium) and the fit is perfect. This is a slim fit so if you like your clothes loose, size up. I love that I can stretch and bend while still staying covered because the length is perfect for me. It fits just like the picture (I am 5’8” with a long torso). I am one of those folks that does not like bare arms or legs to touch equipment so I am always on the hunt for long-sleeved tops that will keep me cool while exercising in the studio. This top fits the bill to perfection. I will probably take it on trips once we can travel again since it is light and would be easy to pack.
