I purchased these shorts for the summer to relax in. They fit perfectly for me. I consistently wear a size 10 in whatever pants or shorts I buy. They are a little snug at first but relax as you have them on. I am glad because if I do decide to use them to work out then I know they won't slide down. Some reviews complained about the waist band being too wide but I don't find it a problem. It is the same width as my yoga pants. The draw string is a nice feature if you want to make them fit tighter. The fabric felt kind of scratchy but after washing them, they are soft. The length is perfect and hits about mid-thigh. The style and quality is just fine for me and I would not be embarrassed to wear them to the gym. They would make great shorts for walking.

I bought these for my elderly mother in two different colors. They run true to size and are well made. The elastic waste and drawstring make them easy to get on and off and get the most comfortable fit at the waist. The fabric is soft and washes nicely. Great shorts for a great price.

Comfy cozy lounge shorts. Great length and a light stretch. Drawstring is nice to keep them in place and they have pockets which is a plus. Comfy shorts for lounging around the house or a cruise ship or for an excursion or swimsuit cover up.

I needed some shorts to wear for pt appointments after my knee replacement. These are absolutely perfect for that use and just overall around the house. They allow room for my swollen leg and comfort around the waist. A perfect short. They are durable and come out of the wash perfect.

This garment deserves the same review I wrote last summer for a purchase of these shorts, in the color navy, but will add that they're sold for a great price! Still VERY satisfied with the Hanes Jersey Pocket Shorts. ============================================================= I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice these Hanes Women's Jersey Pocket Shorts turned out to be! I like the length (not too short, not too long); I like that they're neither tight nor baggy (i.e., not sleazy; not slovenly); I like the feel of the fabric (100% cotton is *always* a joy); I like the pockets; I like the style/width/weave of the cotton drawstring, which you can use to tighten or loosen the waistband as needed. Following suggestions from other reviewers, I ordered a size medium, even though I can wear anything from a size 4 to an 8 for shorts/pants, depending on the manufacturer. The medium turned out to be ideal, particularly since I can tighten them a tad with that drawstring! Unless you have a flip-phone, don't expect to slip your phone securely into the pockets, as they're not especially deep. But, they are totally fine for stashing a kleenex, your keys, your fitness club pass--that sort of thing. I *definitely* recommend these shorts, especially for such a reasonable price for decent quality! P.S. Remember, these are 100% cotton, so be smart: Wash them in cool to cold water, and either machine dry on low setting or drip dry.

I purchased these shorts because summer was coming and it's so hot that i needed to buy myself some comfortable shorts that looked good and most importantly were inexpensive. There's different colors to choose from and different sizes including plus sizes. Sometimes as a plus-sized person it's not always easy to find nice looking, comfortable clothing that's great for those on a tight budget. These fit the bill so well and I love them! They seem durable including being able to survive hiking, gardening, and all kinds of activities and they survive multiple washes in the laundry without losing their stretch. I definitely have been a return customer!

I am so glad I decided to purchase these - a gray and navy blue. Less expensive than Hane's online sale price. Very soft and comfortable. I purchased a small to allow for some shrinkage after washing & dryer. I highly recommend these - thin enough for summer weather in Hawaii.UPDATE (3/26) - I washed both colors that I purchased and just a slight shrinkage. Fits absolutely perfect and very soft. Highly recommend !
