Totally Satisfied

I am absolutely thrilled with this drum (20inch). The quality in materials\craftsmanship is outstanding. The tone and resonance are deeply beautiful. Putting it into a corresponding drum bag, I simply hang it in my closet; dry, safe and sound. It's really not that heavy and it's quite beautiful.

Another BANGER from TERRE!

See what I did there? Another BANGER, get it? Guess it loses its humor when you lay it on so thick. Anyway, this is a beautiful instrument that is clearly crafted with great LOVE and EXPERIENCE. This is my fourth instrument from the folks from the TERRE STORE. I own their "Didghorn"(spiral didgeridoo), 24" Djembe, and two different Chacha shakers. Every single instrument is proudly displayed in my living room, when they're not being played, because they are works of art made with completely natural products. I purchased the twenty-inch SHAMAN DRUM, and I expected it to be pretty hefty due to its size, but its two pounds is deceivingly light thanks to the large handle. I had no experience with this style of drum, but after a couple hour sessions I was able to create some rhythms, I'd be proud to show off at the next drum circle. The sound quality is superb and thunderous. Multiple notes/tones are easily coaxed from the large drum surface. Getting an instrument this well made for under two hundred was a dream come true. This wasn't my first Terre store instrument, and it definitely won't be the last.

I have only used a 16-in synthetic shamindrome before and I have to say that a 20 in really gives much more sound and Power. I like the larger size and even though the circumference is large it is very lightweight and easy to hold. The drum feels very sturdy and well made. I recommend this item and feel that it is a value for the cost
