I'm really delighted to share this toy with my nieces and nephew! I loved playing with this as a child, and playing with it again has been very nostalgic in the best way. This was easy to set up (use filtered water), but I had to let it dry out before I could put the card in for fear of soaking it. Took a round or two to remember how to win at this, and now it's just too easy 🙃, but I love the variety of cards and game rules, which definitely helps to spice it up again!

This is just like the toy I grew up laying but better because it comes with backings that offer up different games. AND the games are for 2 players so you get to do mini competitions. My grandson and I played for an hour, going through some of the games, challenging each other. Once we we done with a game we swapped the bacing out and started a new game. We even changed up the rules to reinvent the game we were playing. This is a great on-the-go game. it does not take up much space, it is a quiet toy, it allows multiple players (interactive), it is super portable (great for a kids bbackpack), it is sturdier than I expected so I can't imagine breaking it, it is appealing because every kid wants to play it. I think these are all reasons why this toy has lasted for 50 years (anyone remember the original ring toss wersion?!) This is a toy worth buying.

So, let's just start with the good about this. It's cute and it comes with a handful of cards that are nice and bright. And the plug is decent, however I would not trust it with younger children to not come out. It holds just well enough when upside down, but does move a little and it seems like it could very easily be dislodged. It's not super firm. But it holds well enough for play for an older child. Now, let's talk about the glaring problem with this. We bought this for our 5-year-old. Was very excited to see this since I had a similar one growing up. Was extremely disappointed on sliding in the cards to find that the cards slide straight down and do not stay in. They are not held in place like it shows in the pictures. And we could not get them to stay in place. Even if it is sitting on a flat surface and not being moved around. You can see this in the pictures. And because they will not stay in place, you can't see the holes on each card correctly. Which, makes the games unplayable unless you can get the card to stay in place. Which, I guess you could if you used some clear tape. But that would be really annoying. We did get one to stay in place long enough for a 5-year-old to play one of the games, but it would keep coming down every couple minutes. And he was very frustrated. He's almost 6 and very mature and able to put these cards in himself. But neither he nor us as adults could get them to stay. Very sad. Even if they had stayed home I wouldn't say this was hours of fun for kids by any means. Really more like a novelty that would probably keep them entertained for 20 minutes or so. But honestly, not worth the money when the cards don't even stay in place. I didn't expect much for the money, but I expected the cards to at least stay in place since it is crucial to be able to play the game is properly. But no.

I got this for my 6-year-old daughter so she would have something to play with during summer break. It is sturdy, easy to fill with water, doesn't leak, and is easy to play with. It has 7 interchangeable game cards, but honestly, she never used them. It is also easy for her little hands to hold, even when filled with water, and the buttons are easy to press. She plays with it but can't stay on for more than 10 minutes, and gets bored with it after one round. I think it's a bit boring for her. Overall, it's a nice game and not too expensive, making it a great gift.

I remember similar games like this when I was younger, though they only gave you one scenario to play. This gives you 7 different game cards so it will keep them entertained for more than 1 or 2 tries. When it was presented to the kids, they argued over who was going to try it first. It's decently made, feeling durable to a kid's touch. It's a good size so it doesn't fatigue their hands. Watching them, I know it was the right thing getting this for them. I had to limit their time, so everyone could have a chance. I plan on taking this in the car to keep them busy.
