  • Gen X Joy.
Color: Blue
I am of the Gen X generation. I remember opening one of first Atari 2600s for Christmas in 1978 when I was 9 years old. It was an 8 bit marvel and treasured times from my childhood. I don’t play modern, hyper real, or VR games because I just don’t have time nowadays to immerse fully. I got the XJOYKIDS 3.2” gaming consul on a whim and for some possible nostalgia. It comes in a quality box like a nice smartphone and the consul is nice with comfortable fully functional buttons. I was skeptical if any of the 168 “retro” games would play. There’s no visible liscencing of the most popular games from the 80’s, but I was curious what the knockoffs would look like and if they would play. Charged the handheld consul with the usb charger, turned it on, and out came the sounds of my childhood arcade. I played a couple of games, and whoa!, it had some pretty good imposters of popular games. If you played an 8 bit Atari during the golden age of arcade games, you’ll know what they are. It has an “old style” earphones jack and one for AV cable jacks for a television. I got kinda excited. I had an older TV stored away I was going to give away because it didn’t have WiFi, so kinda obsolete in my home. Turned on the old TV, plugged in the jack to the little consul and (2) AV cables to the TV. Turned everything on, found the channel, and had arcade! The games really are basic but real nostalgic fun. I recommend it if it caught your eye. The one issue, and the reason why I gave it 4 stars; It’s important to note the AV plug-in jack is small and easy to jiggle. After playing for half an hour I started getting screen tremors because my hands on the controller was jiggling the jack around. I taped mine down to keep it from moving, but left alone, I’m afraid the jack is going to jiggle itself until it won’t connect. It’s my first Walkman all over again :( Other than a jack concern, the consul works great and is retro 80’s arcade fun👍🏼 ... show more

This handheld game is fun and great gift for kids and adults. There are 168 games I used to play back in. 90s. I played for a couple of hours and the battery held up well. I’m surprised it was super inexpensive.

  • Good quality, worth the price.
Color: Blue
I bought this handheld game console for my son, and it has quickly become his favorite gadget. The large screen makes it comfortable for him to play for long hours without straining his eyes. What stands out the most is the variety of 168 classic retro games, which include a mix of action, puzzle, and adventure games. My son loves trying to beat new levels and constantly challenges himself to improve his scores. The rechargeable battery is a huge plus because I don’t have to worry about constantly replacing batteries. After a full charge, the console lasts a long time, allowing him to enjoy uninterrupted play. What I appreciate the most is how this device has become a tool to help him with more than just entertainment. He plays with friends sometimes, and it really encourages cooperation and teamwork. They try to solve puzzles together, and it has become a fun way to bond and think critically about how to move through the different levels. It’s also easy for him to carry around, so I can take it with us on trips or to family gatherings. Whether it’s a long car ride or a quiet afternoon at home, it keeps him entertained and mentally engaged. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It has provided my son with countless hours of fun, and I can see how it is helping him develop important skills while enjoying his favorite games. ... show more

  • Just ok...
Color: Orange
This is an ok product. Like most of the reviews say, all the games are just remakes of other games. I think that it is a great gift for kids and adults. It came fully charged, but you do have the option to use batteries which is nice. The only thing that I dislike about it is that it doesn't save your progress when you turn it off, so you have to restart a game every-time. The price could be a little lower as well. ... show more
