  • Blueprint reading is a required skill at work
I needed a book like this to help me understand what the engineers put on their Mfg drawings and this book helps me do that! I'm glad I purchased the book and received it ahead of schedule.

  • Informative but disappointing. No answer key
This book is decent enough. It does not contain an answer key for the worksheets which is frustrating. I would not recommend for self guided learning but it would be good for a classroom setting.

  • This is not ideal for self study.
This book does not include the answers to the worksheets, only the review questions at the ends of the chapter.

  • For school only
In my experience as an employer, the people generally working in the machining and fabrication trades are not typically "school people". Like me, most barely graduated high school even though they might be very smart. For those not-so-book-smart people, this book is terrible. The first quiz is on page 5 and will transport you directly back to high school with questions like, "Where do manufacturing drawings originate?", "What unit of measurement is used on metric prints?" and other nonsensical and utterly useless questions as it relates to a real job in a real shop. I just wanted to have a reference on hand for my guys to read and get better at their jobs and move up in to positions with more responsibilities. This is NOT the book for that. Incidentally, I assumed this book having a different author than the book in the following link meant it was a different book. Nope. They are nearly word-for-word copies of each other. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/083113125X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ... show more

  • Just buy the physical book DO NOT BUY THE KINDLE VERSION
The cloud version in no way lines up with the physical book. Th cloud reader makes it extremely hard to view and halfway through my class I severally regret not just buying the physical book. I do not think Amazon should offer this book digitally if they cannot format it in a readable way.
