The Hammer Maximum Effect Bowling Ball is a great ball. I was using the Hammer Black Window 3.0 but it burned up after about year. I tried everything with that ball, sanding, heating the oil out, sanding down to 360 then back up. Sanding the heating, etc. Nothing brought it back. This Hammer Maximum Effect is a great ball if you liked the Black Widow 3.0. It is a game one, heavy oil ball. So far it seems very consistent week to week. I do find that after mid game 2 I need to drop down to a less aggressive ball, this one wants to keep hooking and moving left gets to the point it is too challenging to keep up with. I really do like this ball and I hope it will last longer the the Black Window 3.0. ... show more

I am a southpaw that usually plays 5 to 8 boards down and in. I had to move inside because this ball hooks and hits hard. This is a excellent hard hitting ball. I'm not used to playing inside but due the hooking and hitting power I had no choice
