Ease of use.....small buttons are harder to use. It's a ham radio and by the nature of this form of communication it must be mastered over time. Bought them as a gift and now I want a couple! While a little overwhelming at first, the radios come with a good instruction manual that explains just about everything you need to know if you have the patients to read it all. I could get the radio to connect to my PC but couldn't figure out how to program a bunch of channels, but I gave up extremely quickly as I am impatient. Highly recommend these bad boys to anyone that likes electronics and lots of cool accessories!

My quoted date was 28 December for delivery, but I received my radios the day before Christmas! After charging all four batteries, I downloaded the chirp software online, found my repeater sites, and uploaded them into my Baofeng. I had problems transmitting and receiving, so I went outside on a hunch. I could see the repeater tower and started transmitting. I got a reply and started doing a radio check by running through the three power settings. Even at the lowest power level, it was loud and clear. After a week of jumping on a few nets, they always complemented my radio of being loud and clear, with no distortion. The walls in my house were aluminum struts, which effectively grounded my signals. Now that I remembered from tearing down a wall, I won't soon forget. Next time I'll purchase another Baofeng radio for my shack but this time with three bands. Don't hesitate, buy it and do your thing!

I received these little gems. I'm not a Ham radio person, and I haven't had a chance to really use them except to scroll through the channels and listen to the FM radio, which pulled in many stations very clear. What I didn't notice, a couple weeks later is that I had 2 car chargers and no mic for one of the 2 I purchased. I notified the company, they responded Very quickly, and I received the mic within just a few days !! Bravo !! I am pleased with the packaging, I don't have a cd player, but managed to get how to work the radios off the web link provided. I know when I get a chance to actually use these, I will be just as pleased

Could not believe the range. I live 2 mountain ranges away from a friend that I gave the other one too and they live in the valley. And it was really clear. Like being in the same room. Better reception than our cell lhonesy

I have a pet peeve about companies that try to make their product look just like some other highly successful product. This may be a fine radio, but they try to make it look like the well known brand, BaoFeng, and it's not a BaoFeng radio. Judging by other reviews, it seems to work well enough. I'm not going to the trouble of setting it up and programming it when what I wanted was a BaoFeng radio. This company is charging premium price for a different name brand. I'm returning these.

Pretty nice deal, I think! For less than $80, you get two 8 watt UV-5R’s with two spare batteries for a total of four 2100mAh batteries. Each have a charger base and each base has both a A/C adapter and 12 DC adapter. Each has a microphone as well as a VOX headset. Each has a programming cable and software. And each have three antennas. Very nice deal for the price!
