Bought 5 of these and gave them to our loved ones they all love them .It will jump start your car when your battery goes dead for various reasons.Each time I used it it started the car better than the battery in the car. I used it 3 times on different vehicles on the same day with more power to go.The built-in flashlight USB ports and 110 outlet comes in handy for cell phones and other electrical devices needing powered up .     • Almost perfect entry-level model with many functions

I've tried most of the modes on this unit, and I'm happy to report that they all worked, but with some small compromises. Overall, I'm happy with the unit for the price I paid. It will take some time to see if the battery holds its charge while stored in my trunk, but I read other reviews that seemed pleased in that regard. Performance and Praise: My new unit arrived about 75% charged, and filled up pretty quickly with the supplied wall power adapter. I powered a small wireless network device via the AC outlet and kept a phone charged via one of the USB ports simultaneously for a couple hours resulting in about a third of the battery draining. The LED light could be brighter, but it works. I haven't tried the supplied DC/car lighter power adapter, but I'm glad it's there since this will live in my car trunk most of the time. The jump starter mode was pretty strong (when it worked, more on that below), and a single start didn't noticeably lower the battery meter. The included storage bag is conveniently decorated with basic instructions for using the jump-starting mode. Complaints: I had issues when jump-starting a car with a completely dead battery. I guess it couldn't pass the "safety checks" the product performs before allowing you to proceed. After jumping the car with a different product and running for a few minutes (enough to put a small charge in the battery, but not enough to start the car), the jump-starting mode was pretty good. In the second attempt, the safety check only lasted a couple seconds before the light stopped blinking and turned solid, allowing me to start the car. With the completely dead battery however, it blinked for several minutes before giving up. Although whatever procedure it performs is supposedly for safety's sake, my other jump-starter certainly didn't complain. I didn't find a way to override this behavior. Mixed feelings: It's nice that there are separate buttons spread out on the side to power the different modes. I imagine it helps with power efficiency when you aren't powering modes you don't need. When the product is in its supplied bag, however, it can be difficult to avoid accidentally blindly pressing these buttons, and wasting power. I wish the product could be recharged using USB-C, but at least the wall adapter charges quickly. The jumper cables are pretty short, but were long enough for my purposes. I get that there needs to be a compromise on their length since the cords are kind of thin, but you may find it difficult to place in a comfortable spot in an engine when jump-starting. On that note as well, the four little gripping dots on the bottom might not find their footing on an uneven surface, and could have worked better with two rubber strips instead. ... show more

This thing is great. Working in the auto industry I often need to jump cars and this is small, easy to use and it lasts a long time. can jump many dozens of cars, trucks and SUVs with this between charges. i know its not rated well in terms of amps but i've started a V8 pathfinder that was completely dead. will start any V6 totally dead or not. The clips are very high quality and easy to use, yes they are small but they are plenty big for every battery i've encountered. it looks so nice with its glossy finish its hard not to baby it but it does feel very solid, good weight to it. the charger works. This is my second Halo Bolt. I have one for the house and one for the car to take on vacation with us. We lost power for 2 days in July. Thankfully I had these Halo Bolts to get us through and charge our necessary electronics. Plus we have a generator so had power that way as well. Today I was a hero, well at least what this little old lady said. We stopped at a gas station to get water and snacks and she walked up to me and asked if I had jumper cables. She had been stuck there with a dead battery for over an hour. I said I can help! She was so relieved. I got the Halo Bolt out of the back of the car, set it up... in the mean time a man had just returned with a box of brand new jumper cables. He stood there perplexed, you're going to start her car with that? yep. Okay he said. I hook it up, plug it in, turn it on, then told her to start her car. One turn of the key it started! She was so grateful, I saved the day. The man watching said "I'm impressed"! I never had a doubt it would work. I used my other one a few years back to start my car as it was deader than dead. It started with one turn of the key. Anyways, there were about 6 people watching me jump this lady's car with the Halo Bolt. They all went I want one of those!
