This is probably one of the best mannequin heads I’ve ever bought. She has a LOT of hair per sq inch, and it is actually longer than most mannis you get from beauty school or places like Sally’s. The picture is deceptive of the actual length, though. If you’ve ever worked with cheaper human hair mannis, you know that sometimes there are threads in the hair because that is the thread that is directing the human hair on to the manni head itself. It is normal and quite common. The stand that comes with it is fine. It’s not the best, but it’s good enough to work with. The media could not be loaded. First part of the video is how the mannequin looks when it comes, but first part was also after I did a wash and blow dry for reference. Next onto styling; holds a heat well so quality hair, flat iron I was able to do up to 400 no problem, and curling iron up to 350. Shedding is minimal and happens more so during wash but it’s still not too crazy. ... show more

    • Smaller than normal, DO NOT USE HOT TOOLS
*update* very unhappy with this head. I tested a small section of hair at the nape with myncurling iron set to 300F for 6 seconds. The hair is completely fried. Falsely advertised that it can be used with hot tools. I hope Amazon removes this listing. First off, this head is not a standard sized head. It's much smaller. Almost like a child sized head. Second, I'm not 100% convinced the hair is human hair. The strands I plucked out to do the burn test did burn like human hair (sulfur smell, turned to ash) but the texture does not feel at all like a human head of hair. It feels very spongy when you grab the full head in your hands. It could just be how it is treated. I haven't tried using any hot tools on it yet and I'm honestly a bit scared to as I purchased this for a hair cutting seminar. ... show more
