First off, the hair seems way shorter than it looks in the photos mostly because the ends are extremely thin. I’ve attached photos where you can see the scraggly ends which I’ve since trimmed off, and also the color difference in different lighting. The head itself is on the smaller side but it doesn’t bother me. Hair density is pretty good for the price, and is easy to part in center or either direction. The clamp it comes with works fine. I’ve used hot tools at 400 degrees with no issues. I won’t be using this to practice coloring so I can’t comment there, but for style practicing it’s great! ... show more

I'm a cosmetology student and currently use the Fromm mannequin heads, this one is slightly smaller but it's not a huge difference. The hair is really soft and it's real, I even cut a bit off and burnt it to check, it's real hair. The hair is uneven and needs a haircut (which since I'm going to school for that,, it would be almost expected) I have been able to heat style it, used a curling wand at 350 degrees and there were no issues. Perfect for bleaching and dyeing hair. In barber school so I need a cheaper manikin than the ones in professional salon retail stores. Curls, flattens, dyes, it’s very easy to manipulate. The hair also feels full and thick.
