I am 5'7" and 125 lbs. I am a solid 4/S in Athleta. I got the XS based on the size chart. My waist is 28 inches and these shorts are snug enough that I wish I'd sized up to a Small, even though based on the chart I should have room to grow in the XS. The fabric is thin so these should dry quickly. The fabric is also very stretchy. There are two front pockets that seem adequate. There are two zippered back pockets. My iPhone 10 fits in all the pockets. I'm a little surprised that the front pockets aren't webbing. So, for me they are shorts I'll wear while working in the yard because I'm not crazy about how they fit.

These are super nice hiking shorts. I love the style, color and fit! I was unsure about the sizing - the sizing is slightly different than typical sizes. I am a size 8 with about a 30 inch waist. I usually buy a medium. The sizing chart on these showed that I should get a small. I took a chance, got the small, and they fit Perfectly! These are beautifully made shorts. I like that they have a slim fit through the legs and they don't bag or sag around the tummy. These have elastic on the sides, which gives them a good fit without being too tight or loose. I like that the elastic is on the sides rather than across the back because on most shorts it makes them get a saggy butt. The material is really good - it has some stretch in all directions, but not too much that they bag out. I like the slit pockets in front. They also have zip pockets in back, so you can put your keys in there when hiking, kayaking, etc. and know they aren't going to fall out. The length is typical for this type of shorts and ideal for me since I prefer to have my thighs covered. The navy blue is the perfect shade of dark blue! These are nice and I want to order more colors. I do think they are a bit overpriced, but when I compare the features with other similar shorts, these are actually better.

I received the Haimont quick dry hiking shorts in size large (black). The shorts have 4 large pockets (two which are zippered in the rear) with small blue stitching accents. There are belt loops and two elastic areas on the sides of the waist about 5” in length. I normally wear a size 10 pants and ordered the size large due to the hip measurements on the size chart. They are slightly loose in the hips and very loose in the waist, so I am thinking I could have ordered a size medium, especially due to the elastic waist band. Also, the leg holes are ample and I’m thinking the medium could have made the leg holes slightly smaller. The length of the shorts hits right at the top of my knee caps and the material has a textured feeling. It is not rough material but not smooth by any means. I am sure this textured material helps with the quick dry functioning of these shorts. It has a very small embroidered logo by my left hip but it is black on black and you can hardly see it. These are going to be great for hiking or being near the water. The material is not thick so it will work fine to wear in hot weather. I walk regularly, so I can see myself wearing these to walk around the neighborhood as well. The black color is a true black and is very versatile. Highly recommended

With pants and shorts, I usually have an issue with the waist having a bit gap in the back. I got these shorts in a size small, and they were true to size. They fit great with NO gap in the back as you can see from the photos. There is a little elastic on each side which makes the waist nice and snug regardless of your waistline. The shorts have four pockets, and the two back ones have zippers. My husband did note that they pockets were not as deep as his short pockets, but with women's clothing you are lucky to get any pockets at all. They were very comfortable and moved and stretched as you moved your body (bending, squatting, etc.). They are very light weight, breathable, and dry quickly. They are really perfect, and I am a person who 9 times out of 10 have shorts and pants not fit right. I thought I was getting gray, but they are more of a khaki. They are a bit pricy though.

These are my new favorite shorts! I ordered my usual size, and they are very comfortable. The rise is long enough for me (I'm 5'10" so long-waisted). The waist is a loose (I can take the shorts off without undoing the fly), but I wear these with a belt anyway. I got the dark grey, and it's a lovely charcoal. There are triangular pops of bright blue stitching reinforcing all four pockets (blue to match the logo tag on the back pocket). I want sure about that at first, but I like it. Some might not like that sporty accent. Overall, I am wearing these often and recommend them especially for hiking and outdoor activities.

I'm so glad I found these shorts, they are such a comfortable fabric (88% Nylon; 12% spandex) with a little bit of stretch to them. I got them in the Horizon Grey color and it's a very neutral color, goes with most any color top. These fit perfectly in my usual size and I love the deep front pockets and the zippered pockets in the back. I've worn them when playing golf and felt somewhat cooler than with other shorts I own - and very comfortable with all the movements required with 18 holes of golf. With the little bit of stretch in them they are not binding at all no matter how much you bend. Buy them, you won't be sorry!

Don't let the wide elastic waistband on either side worry you as you pull them out of the package. They ride on your sides in the perfect spot so you don't feel the stretchy band and it's not visible with a normal shirt. I wore them with a crop tank top and they still looked great. I ordered the small in dark blue and they are a great fit. They are not as dark as my camera made them look. Great pocket covers and side slide zippers. Nice trim stitching as well.
