I really like these shorts but not the price at $39.99 (plus 5% coupon). I'm 5'4" and typically wear a 14-16 Petite or size Large for shorts and slacks but I followed the sizing chart for hip size and ordered an XL. A little loose in the waist but perfect in the hips for me other than a little long - just above the knee. I like the elastic at the side waist and intend to wear these with a belt. I like all the pockets especially the zip back pockets. They came out great after washing on a gentle / cold cycle and air-drying. These shorts have a nice drape and despite the more casual fabric I plan to wear them for more than just athletic reasons! To be a great value, these need to be in the range of $25-$30.

I ordered these hiking shorts in Horizon Grey Color in my usual Size Small. At 5'5" and 115 lbs., they are too big for me. I usually wear a US size 4 in shorts (27 in waist) and debated between ordering XS and S. The sizing chart in the description was confusing because their XS waist measurement is 30-34 in. which seems too large for an XS in women's clothing, so I ignored the numbers in the chart and made my best guess. The small I received seems like a M to me. Perhaps the measurements in the chart is correct and these shorts are just sized up. Other than the poor sizing, these are really nice hiking shorts! Lightweight, quick dry material, 4 zippered pockets and two side hook and loop pockets. Waistband has elastic on the sides only so the front of shorts lays flat. Nice design and nice looking shorts.

I really like these cargo shorts which I ordered up on so that when I stuff my pockets, as I tend to do, they won't feel and look instantly bulging -- but likely I didn't need to since they're so roomy and loose. That's ok -- I don't mind. Look at how my whole hand can fit into the side pocket, right up to my Fitbit on my arm! They easily fit my phone in a case on one side and will fit my passport on the other side if I'm going across any borders and want to keep it on me since we all know we shouldn't put our passport into our carryon when we're on board an airplane. And the fact that here are zippered pockets on the back -- roomy ones -- I can safely put some important items in the back pockets, too, if I don't wish to slide my wallet into one of the large flap pockets. I like the fact that the flap pockets and side pockets aren't mesh pockets as one sometimes finds in cargo shorts so that any key I pop into them won't end of tearing a whole in them. I also really like that the elastic is only on the sides of the waist, not going all the way around the back or the front and back: they seem less like sport clothes that way, I think, even without having a belt going through the loops. I am getting a lot of use from these shorts, from casual wear on these warm days whether I'm running to the store or going out with friends for some exercise in the nearby hills. They're great!

I like these shorts. They are a thin material with enough stretch to make them super comfy. The elastic on the side of the waist is a nice feature. The length is perfect for me. I like long shorts, and they come to just above my knee. I'm 5' 3 1/2" tall. There are many pockets, so no need to carry a purse or bag when walking. I'm tempted to get more colors!

I want another pair of these shorts. They are so comfortable for my "chunky in the wrong places" body. I spilled something on them the first time I wore them, so I washed in lightly warm water and dried them in a warm, not hot, dyer. They came out great - no wrinkles and no shrinkage.

These hiking shorts are great! They fit perfectly and are not too loose or too tight. The material is really light and will dry quickly should they get wet (rain, sweat, etc.) I am very pleased with these shorts and highly recommend them. They're especially good for us here in sunny, humid Florida.
