Installation is extremely easy, however, proper fitment to your vehicle while keeping factory quality assurance items such as the rubber dust boot I think will depend on your particular vehicle. I have a 2006 Pontiac Vibe. The install took about 15 seconds, but then I realized that the rubber dust boot that goes on to keep out water and dust from the light housing was just not going to fit. Even when getting it on very tight and forced, the boot would sit on the heat sink radiator tabs that run along the outside. I felt how hot these things get after a ten minute drive and I just don’t trust that not to melt or cause issues. I did drive with them in a rainstorm. These lights rotate 360 degrees inside of the housing once mounted which is good and bad. If they only fit one way, I’d know if I had them facing the right way. I rotated them a couple different times first matching the reflector beam shape with a stock halogen, then later to a couple other positions. They look awesome witb really pure white light and they look bright if you are standing in front of the car, but in the rain, there was so little light coming off of them, I didn’t feel safe driving with them. I really wanted these to work because they honestly cost the same as regular halogen and look a lot cooler. In the end, I returned them because there just seem to be too many potential problems and I couldn’t get them setup to be good headlights ... show more

Put these in my Scion xD and so far they work great. I had an issue installing them because the backs of these are larger than the normal bulbs that come for my car so the rubber protectors that I’m supposed to put on behind them don’t fit properly. With some extra troubleshooting I was able to make them work ... show more

    • High Beam doesn't work and not bright like I was told
I put them in and it was easy to put in but when I went to drive it was a dark rainy night they are no better than the bulbs that burnt out so I will just have to wait tell next payday to get some other bulbs

The back of the bulb has a little fan on it that prevented the rubber dust cover from being reinstalled. I cut mine so I could get it back on. It also creates static on my radio. On the plus side they are much brighter than the conventional bulbs that came on my 2018 Honda HR-V.
