I read reviews before purchasing and there were few comments about noise canceling. The reviews I did see were the best but I took a leap of faith knowing I could return them. I live on two busy cross streets, traffic is all day and all night. I also live a block from a college who is now currently having band practice for football season. On top of that I have 6 windows in my bedroom and wood floor so sound echos like crazy. I obviously can still hear the traffic but I do t wake up at night anymore. They are thick enough to muffle the sounds. I bought white so some light comes through but I wasn’t looking for blackout they just happen to go hand in hand. I am happy with the product.

Have 2 different size windows in my bedroom. One cutain was a little too short. But that worked out great since that is the favorite window my cats like best. It is short enough they can get under it but still blocks out the sun enough so I can watch tv.

First, I gave this a 4 star simply because these are desribed as "blackout" curtains. These are NOT blackout curtains. These are not lined like blackout curtains. I knew that before this purchase because I previously purchased a set. But I think they need to change their description to something more accurate. I will say that these do a good job of darkening a room. They do block a significant amount of light but just know they are not "blackout" curtains. Some light does show through the fabric. My husband is a night shift worker and they block out enough light during the day that he can sleep comfortably. The fabric is thick. They have a very sturdy feel to them but also hang nicely. The texture is smooth without having any sheen to it. They were wrinkled out of the package but I just hung them and the wrinkles eventually smoothed out. My first purchase of these was about 2 years ago. Those have held up very well. I have washed them in cold water on the gentle cycle and hung to dry without any issue. I now have 4 sets of these in 3 different colors. I am very satisfied with this brand. These are very good quality for the price.

It took a lot of time hemming, steaming and ironing these curtains. Training the 'pleats' was laborious as well, but the final look is sturdy and definetly room darkening. Cream is more of a gray, but worked for me.

I bought these for my newborns room. I love the color and the length BUT they do let in light. They don’t keep the room entirely dark during the day. It’s almost like you have a dim light on in the room. They still work for me but if you need/want it completely dark these are not it.
