This product is pretty good. I use it for live streaming on a weekly basis. I love how I can switch scenes on my software and when the slider is selected it looks smooth when I am talking. It looks as if I have a videographer following me but it's the slider doing its magic. Unfortunately the motor stopped working and I was very disappointed. I reached out to the company website and shared my purchase receipt from Amazon. Within 48 hours I was speaking with Dan a customer support rep. I shared a video of what the slider was doing and the noise it was making. He said he would put a new one in the mail, and kindly asked would I return the old one. He did everything, he sent a RMA number and all I had to do was take it to UPS. I took a picture and email showing my proof or return and I have a new unit. I was very nervous I was going to be out of my money as this was my first experience of equipment failure with GVM and at the time of purchase this was what was in my budget. Although I wanted the next model up I had to roll with what I could to get my show running with a professional look. Dan made me feel real comfortable knowing GVM stands by their products. This thing works great, I put a Z7ii with a 14-30 on it. I had no issues with the track going up and down. Also the stop points have to be set every time its turned on. Over all the track is made well the remote is cheep plastic Im very concerned it will last.

I bought this slider as an entry into using camera sliders for my video work. While there are better ones out there, I was more comfortable with this price and size for the video work I would need it for. I especially like the loopable tracking. It works great for interviews as a second or third camera. Occasionally, I have had to tighten the belt but that is minor and I figure it is part of "wear and tear". I like working with GVM. I have a set of their lights as well. They help freelancers like myself afford some equipment that might otherwise price me out of affordability. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Sometimes you find a product on Amazon and it leads you to products made by the same manufacturer and you also give those products a try. So is the case with the GVM GT-60D. I had purchased 2 of their batteries and then I saw this budget-priced SLIDER so I figured I would give it a try. I have been wanting to do product arc shots for a long time and this slider has allowed me to do this. I incorporated my gimbal to help achieve this task. The Slider is made out of aluminum and comes with a wired remote control. At first, the programming can be a bit challenging but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty simple. Tje unit also has 4 leveling feet and a bubble level. Adding a gimbal into the mix makes this truly fun. You can use this Slider's remote to trigger the shutter of your camera to do Time-Lapse photography but that was not something I am presently interested in using this slider for. Overall, I think this Slider is well made. It is quiet but don't expect to run a camera on this with audio recording unless the microphone is well isolated. The sound of the moving motor will be recorded through conduction of the camera to the Slider. I would recommend this slider to anyone who wants to add different motion to their time-lapse studies, stills, and video. ... show more

Size: 27'' Motorized Camera Slider
I figured I'd need inexpensive slider for a simple webcam for live streaming and it does performs as expected. It slides very smooth and not noisy but noise is not an issue as I don't use the camera's mic. Sturdier than I expected as well. I was able to mount it on a tripod for getting any angle and height I want. Not sure how this will hold up under a heavier camera however. Battery life is poor. A fully charged battery that takes about 2 hours to charge, lasted only 75 minutes. Many questions have been asked about which power adapted to get as there is a 12V DC in port but the questions are answered with ...It comes with a rechargeable battery. Yeah, we know, that wasn't the question. So, I purchased a 12V adapter (hopefully it works) for uninterrupted video taking. I gave it 3 stars because it serves my need and so far performs great but we will see and give an update in the coming days about battery life, the power adapter and its overall reliability. UPDATE: Although, the receptacle on the remote says 12V DC in, a 12V power supply does not work. I looked at the battery and it has an output of 7.5V. So I got a Universal 5V 6V 7.5V 9V 12V 13.5V 15V AC DC Adapter Power Supply ( here on Amazon ), set it to 7.5 volts, used the nib that fit, and it works fine. So far the slider is performing well as I use it for live streaming DJ sets multiple times a week. 5 stars for the slider, 3 stars for the software on the remote, and 1 star for the poor battery and lack of documentation and information for an alternative power supply source. UPDATE: After 4 months, the motor stopped working and now this is a worthless piece of junk. Can I get a replacement? UPDATE 2: Got a replacement and that motor stopped working as well after a few months. ... show more

I bought this slider sometime ago. It functioned as designed and is quiet. Shortly after the purchase the remote display started to malfunction. Time passed and before you knew it I had this sitting in my closet for over a yr. When I finally needed to use it again I thought I may have to purchase a new one because I could not find a replacement remote anywhere. I finally contacted customer service showed them my invoice and they shipped a replacement out that same day. I cannot say enough about that type of service. ... show more
