We have the “kissy” penguin version of the GUND animals. My daughter absolutely adores it. We’re going on a trip soon and wanted a portable version of it. I thought this was going to sing the “peek-a-boo”. It doesn’t but that’s probably my fault for not reading description. However, you squeeze the middle and the ears flap over the eyes. GUND has been a long time favorite in our house, creating quality plush animals that the kids love and hold up well over time. When I saw this cute Peek-a Boo Elephant, I thought it would be perfect to have on hand when my sweet new grand baby comes over to visit. The elephant is soft and cuddly and its big, floppy ears are adorable, but I have to say, I'm a little disappointed that his ears, as big as they are, don't completely cover his eyes even when I squeeze his belly as hard as I can. I tried adjusting them and they seemed to cover a little better, but I can still see the eyes no matter what I try. I went back and watched the video to see if that elephants ears covered his eyes and found it interesting that every shot of the elephants ears moving was shown from the back, so there's no way of knowing the ears don't work as advertised. I still love the other aspects of this plush toy, but I feel like its overpriced based on the fact that this version doesn't play a tune and the ears don't really do what they're supposed to. ... show more

This Gund Baby Peek-a-Boo Flappy Elephant is undoubtedly adorable. When you press its tummy, the elephant's soft, flappy ears cover its eyes and then suddenly open to play peek-a-boo, which delights my baby every time. I appreciate that it's battery-free, making it a hassle-free toy. However, Ito be clear doesn't actually sing or make sounds—it's purely mechanical, relying on a simple manual press. Given this simplicity, the price feels steep. If it were priced under $10, I would say it's a great purchase, but at its current price point, it doesn't quite feel worth it. Overall, it's cute, soft, and entertaining for babies, but the cost is too high for what it offers. ... show more

Every kiddo has their stuffed animal season of life and this is a great addition to any stuffed animal lovers collection. Especially for the toddlers, the ear flaps are especially cute and fun to fold down over their eyes when you squeeze the tummy. The squeeze is a pretty easy squeeze, so littles of many ages and abilities would be able to make the ears flap.
