If you are sick of shelling out big bucks for junk, you can rest easy with this thing. It's simple to put together (took me about an hour, but that was with distractions - pay attention and you can have it done in half that time). It is very sturdy; in fact the chair bolts are so long and fit so tightly I'm pretty sure it would withstand the house falling on it. It's a very attractive design. I did not attach the bulletin board as we didn't really need it and I was afraid it would get battered (note that it can't be removed once stuck on). The price is not bad considering the quality and the fact that you get very nice matching chair. If you saw this in a furniture store for this price, you'd snap it up, and it doesn't have a cheap flat-pack feel to it. I can't speak for the other colors but the pink is classy and muted, neither bubble gum nor Barbie. It's a good fit for my small five year-old with plenty of room to grow. One of the legs had damage, probably from shipping. The back support at the bottom was broken. I had reattach it. See the white line in the second picture. I am hoping that the chair will last for some time. The table quality is good and assembling was easy.

Pretty frustrating. I was putting this desk together for my daughter and realized that whoever secured this piece in the factory screwed it in too far, cracked it, and shipped it anyway. Now I have to ship it back and return it. 😠 There was no damage to the box so it had to have happened during production.     • Not Bad - but consider losing the corkboard.

I had no problems with receiving the desk. It was packaged well, and there was no damage. Quality-wise, I would say it was on par with my expectations for a desk at this price range. My issue with the desk and the assembly - revolves around the corkboard. If you purchase this desk, I would think long and hard if you want that corkboard on or now. First- the cork is only about 1/8th of an inch thick. So using are thumbtack or pin? forget it, its going to puncture right through the backing of the desk. Secondly, I whole-heartedly disagree with which step in the instructions call for the corkboard installation. The adhesive behind the cork is VERY strong, and the dimensions for he corkboard are VERY tight. Meaning - there is NO room for error. In trying to lean under the top and push this thing in place, I had it somewhat off center. My attempt to pull up the errant corner and re-center was a failure - as pulling on adhesive destroys the cork. In the end I had to disassemble the top, remove the backing, and use goof-off and a razor blade to remove the adhesive. The cork was shredded everywhere. It was a huge and difficult mess to rectify. Lastly, I dislike the lower 'compartments' in lieu of a drawer .. Just a bad design for a 5-6 year old. I drawer would be so much more worthwhile. ... show more
