I grabbed these GUESS Shai platform flip flops in a size 8 a little while ago, and they have quickly become my go-to summer shoe. I wanted something that gave me a bit of height but was still incredibly easy to just slip on and go, and these completely fit the bill. First off, the sizing and fit are completely accurate. I ordered my standard size 8, and the length is perfect. The straps fit comfortably across the top of my foot, not too tight, but snug enough that the shoes don't fly off when I walk. When it comes to comfort, they genuinely surprised me. The footbed has a really nice, subtle contour that actually supports your foot, so you don’t get that awful toe-cramping feeling trying to hold the shoe on. The strap material is also quite soft; I haven't experienced any rubbing or blisters between my toes, even after wearing them out for an entire afternoon. Sturdiness and slipperiness are usually my biggest concerns with platform wedges, but these handle both beautifully. The wedge base is solid and well-balanced, so I never feel wobbly or like I'm going to roll an ankle. The bottom sole has a great grip, meaning no accidental slips on smooth grocery store floors or wet pavement, and the footbed itself isn't overly slick, keeping my foot securely in place. In terms of style, they are super cute and versatile. They have that classic, slightly elevated GUESS look that instantly dresses up a basic pair of shorts or a casual sundress. The GUESS Shai sandals are exactly what I expected—stylish, comfortable, and true to size. I’m 5'0" with a slim, petite frame, and size 5 in GUESS has consistently fit me well over the years. I’ve tried split-toe sandals from other brands before, but they often end up hurting between my big toe and second toe. This is now my third pair of Guess shoes I have ordered in about a one-year period. I have found them to be extremely comfortable, with no break-in period, which is why I keep buying Guess. My other pairs are sneaker-style Guess. This is my first thong-style sandal and I get compliments whenever I wear them because they are an "elevated" and "better than basic" version of a thong sandal. I typically wear a size 5.5 in heels, a size 6 in sneakers, and ordered these in a 6. They were a perfect fit. Also, I highly recommend the pink color, which is close enough to skin tone that they elongate the legs.
