I bought these landscape staples to secure my bird bath on the lawn since the ground isn't completely flat. They work exactly as I hoped they would. They're very sturdy and they're just the right thickness and length. I only needed 2 so I have plenty left over in case I ever need them for something else.

Our dog was finding a way to get under the fence and we needed something to secure the fence. These are extra long and sturdy and easy to push into the dirt and secures the fence. Our dog hasn’t figured out how to get out since we put these in.

Used these 4" staples to anchor down Halloween animal skeletons in the front yard this year, so they would be less likely to "walk off". Our soil is dry and slightly sandy, so they didn't have as much pull-out resistance as I would have liked. Next year I will get the 6" staples, as the once cheap "fun" animal skeletons are getting more expensive every year! Meanwhile, I think these will work to help secure wobbly solar path lights and have other garden uses.
