This product seems great quality, and my dog enjoys the taste. Great ingredients. I've noticed my dogs fur is much softer since using this. I'm hoping to see improvements with shedding as well. Similar to the hip and joint supplement, My only complaint is the pump cap. Some of the product dries in the nozzle so it needs regular cleaning or it shoots everywhere. If you push down hard it shoots out and makes a mess. I try to use slow and consistent pressure but sometimes it sticks, overcoming that stick causes the oil to shoot out fast. ... show more

Both of my dogs love this stuff. The scent is not great but its fish oil so oh well. They dont shed as bad, no sitting around eating their feet, no dry flaking skin. I put this on the morning kibble for my dogs and they love it. My one dog has nasty allergies where her skin flakes and my other dog’s allergies targets her ears (she’s had multiple hematomas) so this is a quick and easy preventative measure. It’s great for their skin.

I bought this for my older cat after reading that this (or rather salmon oil at large) would be beneficial for her as she ages. We have 3 cats and 3 dogs. The cats will not touch this. In fact, they flinch and put their ears back and run away from it. If I put it on their food, they will not eat until I wash the bowl out. The dogs however seem to love this stuff. We already put Shed-X on their food. They feel completely different about this than our cats. They will not eat unless we put the Grizzly (or Shed-X) on their food. As far as humans go, I would say this does not smell bad, in case you are worried about a lingering fishy smell, which is good. I read that salmon pollock oil could reduce the amount of shedding so I bought a bottle hoping that we would have a little less dog hair. Does it reduce the amount of shedding? We have a lab so it’s hard to tell. But he does have the softest and shiniest fur of any lab we have had. Recommmeded by vet to give our 10 yr old yorkie mix an omega 3 for skin due to she keeps having allergies and rashes. Seems to be fine. Using two weeks and recommended for her size is half a pump. Not possible to pump half as it comes out with force and full pump. I’ve found I can barely press and get drops and do that on top of her food. She likes it. I use this on my German shepherd and small cat. My german shepherd suffers from allergies and gives him horrible dry skin and runny eyes. The second I gave him this fish oil, he's as handsome as ever without itching. My cat on the other hand is a very picky eater. The strong fishy smell has helped so much. Not only that but I used to be allergic to him and now I can actually pet him without breaking out in hives. Idk if its the fish oil or my body has built up a tolerance to him.
