VERY happy w/ all the Griot's Garage items I've purchased, including this Brilliant Finish Foaming Sprayer. This appears well-made, w/ a nice pistol grip hose nozzle. The nozzle body is cast zinc w/ a black plastic overmold. The nozzle overmold has deep ribs w/ finger contours to help the grip. It has a standard brass valve w/ knurled threaded max adjustment knob w/ a standard zinc wire loop hold open bail. There is a molded hanging loop. The inlet includes a domed stainless filter screen. The pistol grip nozzle inlet and outlet both have standard 3/4-11.5NH Garden Hose Threads (GHT). The outlet has pull collar quick connect coupler. This coupler permits easy connect / disconnect to the reservoir / foaming nozzle assembly. The coupler fit permits gravity to maintain the cup on the bottom during operation. The cup capacity is about 5½ cups / 44 oz. My usage is to put about 3-4 oz of liquid car soap into the cup, then slowly fill w/ water (to limit foaming). The cup is retained to the foaming nozzle w/ molded coarse threads, about two full turns from attached to removed. The plastic foaming nozzle does an excellent job of quickly covering the entire vehicle in soapy foam. The cup capacity is ideal for covering an entire SUV, four wheels and wheel wells in soapy foam. ... show more

    • This sprayer works great!
I have been reading about using a foam cannon as part of washing the car/truck. I really didn't want to deal with the hassle of getting my pressure washer out every time so I was looking for an alternative that just hooked up to my car washing hose. I bought this Foaming Sprayer and the Griot's car wash and finally got a chance to use it. Simple stuff, add 32 ounces of warm water and 3 ounces of the car wash to the sprayer bottle. Attach the nozzle to the hose and the sprayer bottle to the nozzle(quick release works slick). I sprayed the truck down with water first and then used the foam attachment. A pretty liberal application will use one bottle of the mix. I washed the truck with a bucket and wash mitt, you disconnect the sprayer bottle and the nozzle works just like a regular sprayer! ... show more

I find this foam sprayer goes through foam much faster than the other one I have, but other than that, no complaints. it often requires two fills to do one car.

Well I was not very impressed with the Griot's Garage foam sprayer. It's bulky and unbalanced. The sprayer nozzle is stiff, binds up and leaks at the quick disconnect to the solution tank. Not typical Griot's Garage quality.

    • Solidly built. Gets the job done.
The nozzle and bottle are solid to the touch. Seemingly, neither will not dry out and crack very quickly. The nozzle is not an excellent stand alone sprayer but still serves the purpose. Nice detachable design. Made in USA.

    • An easy quick way to foam up a car.
I used this with Griot's Brilliant car wash instead of my regular gas powered set up and it is a much easier and effective way to soap up the vehicle and then hand washing the soap off. It obviously will not be as effective as either an electric or gas powered pressure washer for ultra high foaming action, but it is perfect if you want to do a simple foam up of a semi clean vehicle follwed by a hand washing and wiping the foam off. The dirt pulling down effect seemed to work well and the soap maintained it's foaminess on the car as I worked my way around it washing off the foam. ... show more

    • Poorly conceived and constructed
First one arrived with a misplaced rubber gasket. Second one seemed to have the rubber gasket in the correct place but connecting the two parts was difficult. To make matter worse it began leaking from the handle after about 10 uses.
