I’m so pleasantly surprised that it worked. I got a new car in May and I’ve been trying to keep it nice and clean, but it’s gotten progressively dusty and has a lot of crevices where crumbs and god knows what else gets in between. I usually do a deep clean every few months, and the slime is definitely part of the routine now. I got it on prime day for sale, so I thought what’s the harm in trying it out. I was originally worried that the slime would break apart or leave a residue behind, (ignore the smudges on the screen in my car, that’s from a wipe, not the slime) but it did neither! I was practically giddy while cleaning because it was picking everything up and leaving it like new. There was dust on the car emblem on the steering wheel, I molded the slime against it and let it do its job. I even put the slime in the metal slots that the seats are fitted to to get crumbs out of and it worked! I used it in my leather seat covers, my dash, the air vents, the leather around my gear shift, and even on the glass and around the frames of my odometer. Even though the slime doesn’t have a strong smell or leave a residue, I still went by after with an antibacterial wipe, but I could have done without it. I don’t have a dog, but I’m pretty sure that if you had hair everywhere, the slime would do a fine job of picking it up. The container says good for three months, or even longer, but if I’m honest, I through the slime away after one use. My car was SO dirty from carting my sitter kids around and letting the dust collect until I couldn’t stand it anymore. By the end, the slime was filled with all kinds of crap and the original pink was discolored from dirt. (See the first picture I posted, I used the pink, and the blue is still new to compare.) I wish I would have taken before and after pictures so I could show how bad it was compared to how shiny it looks now! Anyway, I was worried that it couldn’t hold anything else if I used it again, (it probably could) but ultimately I threw it away because of germs, lol. It had been EVERYWHERE in my car. So far today I have cleaned my car and laptop and a window fan grill. More fans coming up -- a great way to freshen the look without taking the fan apart to clean. Pros: great for dust in crevices, does not stick to hands or car (though maybe a lil on fabric seats and comes right off with fingernail or a bit of the gel itself), smell isn't too strong. It's also fun. Cons: a bit pricey for what it is, delicate scent reminiscent of urinal cake. Reminder that you can break of a smaller piece for awkward spots. For the review who said it wouldn't pick up a blade of grass after 3 uses, it's meant for dust and such, not things that we could clean with a hand vac or a damp rag. Or maybe that reviewer had so much dust in their car that the slime got overwhelmed? In my car, I got the vents and the console and crevices free of their dust. There are a few spots where I'll have to dig with a toothpick as gel can't pick up stuck-on or stuck-in dirt -- then I'll use the gel to grab those lil chunks. I'd imagine one could have one's kids do some work around the car & house with this. Or you, the grownup, could just be a kid. ... show more

This TICARVE cleaning gel is basically car cleaning slime with a respectable adult job. You squish it into air vents, cup holders, around buttons, along the console, and all those weird little crevices where dust gathers like it's saving for retirement. Then you slowly pull it back out and the crumbs, fuzz, dust and other mysterious car debris come with it. It works especially well in places where a vacuum nozzle just hovers nearby making a lot of noise and accomplishing very little. The gel itself isn't sticky on your hands, but it is sticky enough to grab dirt. The two pack comes in rose/cherry blossom and blue/lavender scents, which makes cleaning the dashboard slightly less depressing than it probably deserves to be. I've also used this kind of stuff around keyboards and electronics where crumbs somehow manage to crawl underneath keys like they're hiding from the authorities. Press, lift, repeat. Very simple. Just use dry hands and keep it away from wet surfaces unless you'd like to discover a new form of goo. My only issue with the whole "reusable" claim is that reusable definitely does not mean forever. You can't wash it. The instructions specifically say not to. So every time it picks up dust, hair and crumbs, those things basically become permanent residents inside the blob. Eventually the gel darkens and reaches a point where you're no longer cleaning the car with slime; you're introducing the car to a portable collection of everything you've previously cleaned. At that point it's retirement time. The two pack helps, but this is still a consumable product no matter how reusable the label makes it sound. I attacked the little seams around the gear selector and cup holders where the vacuum had already failed me. The gel came back looking like it had spent fifteen minutes rolling around underneath a refrigerator, but the console looked considerably better. Then it went back into the jar until its next assignment. For vents, keyboards and tiny awkward spaces, this stuff is surprisingly useful. Just understand that someday your cheerful lavender blob will become a gray archaeological record of every snack you've eaten in the car, and there is absolutely no spa treatment that's bringing it back. ... show more

Updating my review and adding 2 stars back! If it gets runny- don't throw it away or send it back! Both of mine were SUPER watery and messy after about 18 months. Before I threw them away I googled it and saw a ton of tips to add baking powder to it! Most suggested 1-2 teaspoons. Both of mine needed more than that. Just mixed it in in the tub as much as I could and then took it out to knead it through better. That's when I realized I needed a lot more powder in it. It thickens right back up, still smells good (actually improved the lavender smell on the blue that used to smell bad.) and now it's like it's brand new- it works perfectly again. I always take a chunk out of it to clean the car instead of using the whole jar, that way if it gets too many particles in it you can pick the debris more easily or just throw away the worst parts. I've never had to throw away more than a small part. This just now arrived and I haven't used it yet but the blue does NOT smell like lavender... its actually kind of gross smelling. I'll update when I've tried them later. Update- this stuff worked really well for about 12-18 months but then it gets super runny and sticky and is a HUGE mess and completely un-usable. I had kept one in my car to use and the other was inside the house in a cabinet to use when the first one was too gross to use. So basically the second one NEVER got used. Both tubs degraded in the same way, regardless of where they were stored. It doesn't appear that there's a way to add something to it to restore it to its original state. ... show more
