In terms of overall performance it's fantastic. I've had cheap foam cannons in the past and the Griots is so much better that it's not even close. Leaves a thick and rich foam on the car (if you get the mix right). My only complaints are that it's really top heavy and will fall over if it's empty and you so much as look at it. The other small gripe is that it gets quite splattery if you try to put it on the widest fan selection, so I usually leave the adjustment a quarter turn from the widest fan. ... show more

    • Fantastic Foam Cannon!!
This foam cannon is the bomb. It blasts thick and uniform amount of foam and is adjustable. I had another foam cannon from another manufacturer and the foam would pulse out of the cannon.

In the days of dust and grime, when the road salt of winter clung like orc filth to my beloved steed (a ‘11 Hyundai chariot of gleaming white), there arose a weapon most wondrous — the Griot's Garage Brilliant Finish Foam Cannon, forged not in Mount Doom, but in the hidden workshops of car care wizards. I paired it with its destined companion, the Brilliant Finish Snow Foam, and lo — the two together were as if Elven magic had returned to Middle-Earth. With a twist of the brass collar and a pull of the trigger, the cannon unleashed a blizzard more furious than the snows of Caradhras. Foam surged forth like a tidal wave of purity, cloaking my carriage in white — not of ash, but of cleansing brilliance. Even the Ents would pause to marvel at the lather. The snow foam clung to the metal with the grip of Gimli’s axe, pulling away the filth of many journeys. And when the foam had run its course, I rinsed away the last of the shadow. Beneath it?     • Awesome out of the box, but it will require maintenence
Out of the box this is a great cannon, it performs wonderfully even using plain old store bought car wash instead of the specialty foam cannon soaps. However after a year's use it does require maintenance, the filter has to be changed out and it's a pretty lengthy process that you can view on Griot's Garage YouTube channel, and there's the problem, the maintenance reveals some flaws, while this has an anodized aluminum chassis and it appears to hold up well externally, internally where the filter is The anodized finished is totally corroded. Also mine appeared to have been put together with a little too much super Glue (used to index certain parts) because I found that my small O-ring was glued on when I did my maintenance. By the way maintenance requires you buy a kit from Griot's Garage, it's about 13 bucks so it's not expensive but not cheap since you're probably gonna do it at least once a year. While we're on the subject of maintenance, they advise you to rinse out your foam cannon with a cup full of clear water after every use, which I did pretty religiously though I'm not going to say I didn't miss once or twice and I realize that your choice of soap might also Complicate the cleaning process and/or hasten corrosion. But all said and done once again this is a great product out of the box, it's not maintenance-free and I think after you do maintenance about three or four times, it's gonna be time for a new one because the interior is definitely corroding. Probably the only way to avoid that would be to buy a more expensive unit with a brass body. ... show more

    • Creates good foam
works as it should. Be sure to properly tighten the supplied QD to prevent the connection from leaking. Seems sturdy and adjustments are easy. my complaint is that it will not stand up straight when the bottle is empty, though not an issue when filled. The wide mouth makes filling nice and convenient too. I also like the little weight at the end of the extraction tube so you don't have to worry about working your power washer at an angle. ... show more

    • Easy to cross thread, making it useless
Please just save up and buy the MJJC Foam Cannon S. There's no chance the MJJC will cross-thread, it's a better user experience, way more foam output. The challenge with this foam cannon is when the soap gets into the threads and the lid slips or lose traction. It will misalign just enough to ruin the bottle. It's not like the threads are deep to prevent this from happening. The foam it produces is solid. It's just useless now since it won't grip the bottle at all. Once you own the MJJC and do the quarter turn and it does a solid lock, it's super nice that it should be a new standard for all foam cannons. The more you have to turn the bottle to screw it in, the greater the chance it will cross-thread and ruin the bottle or the lid. I'm not sure how Griot missed this in their product development. ... show more
