My 7 YO wanted to be the Grim Reaper for Halloween and once he saw the glowing eyes there was no stopping him from picking this one! He's over 48" and we got the Large. It fit very well and dragged so little on the ground that with boots on there was no tripping. He was able to see pretty well out of the mask until it got really dark out. Then, I think the glow of the glasses and the mask made it difficult to see. In case you are wondering how the glowing eyes work (because I certainly was), it looks like a plastic glasses frame, but only the bottom part (imagine underwire rims). The glowing red is actually below your eyes so you can see above it. Because of the battery, the piece that goes over the ear was rather thick and he had a hard time keeping them on. I used a cheap sunglasses strap to cinch them tight around the back of his head. No issues after that! This was a great costume for layering too! It was a little chilly here so he wore several layers and a hooded sweatshirt underneath without it impeding the look of the costume at all! He loved Halloween this year thanks to this costume!

This grim reaper costume was pretty cool. And also cool that I didn’t have to spend a fortune on it. The best part of the costume was by far the “glasses” you wear under the head piece to make your eyes glow. Unfortunately this was also the worst part of the costume as well, since the glasses were extremely hard to keep on/keep straight. My boys didn’t keep the glasses on long because they kept falling off, but we were able to get some cute pictures and show it off for a bit. I thought the material was fine and did not have any tears or rips - even after a busy night out. We received our package on time and had no issues with the delivery. Would order from them again!

The “gown” part of the costume was the perfect fit. The accessories were easy to put on and/or assemble. Similar to other people, the glasses did not work. It would heat up as if the battery was making the connection but no lights. My son was okay with it because he figured he wouldn’t wear them the whole time anyway. I wish they had worked for the price paid for the assemble.

My son loves his costume, and oddly enough everyone else on the cruise ship and trunk or treats loved it (which is weird because I feel like the Grim Reaper is a common costume). I think it's the light up eyes that people love because you can tell they're intrigued by it and trying to figure out how it works and if he can see behind his mask. It's also a really good deal considering it also comes with the scythe. He's worn this 4 times already (once on a cruise ship dinner and 3 trunk or treat events) and the glasses still work and we've had no issues (knock on wood). My son is almost 5' tall and we got the large size.

Bought this for our 9yr old. Received what is obviously someone else’s returned item that was not checked. Only received what is shown in photo. Half of scythe. One glove. No glasses. Ordered size large for 9yr old boy. Robe ends mid shin. Glove will not fit on hand. Garbage. It goes without saying this item is being returned. I would give zero stars if that was an option.
