I’ve bought so many electric blankets over the last several years, never found “the one”. That is, until now. My other blankets had various problems…looked good in the photo, but when it arrived looked and felt cheaply made. Or stopped working after two winters. Or not enough settings; a blanket that auto shuts off after 3-4 hours so you wake up freezing and have to find the controller to turn it back on. Or a throw that was just not quite big enough, wishing it could be just a few inches longer to cover both my toes AND my shoulders….. This blanket solves all those problems. The blanket is well-made, with good materials. It comes in various sizes, including an “extended” throw size that is the perfect size I’ve been searching for—I’m 5’6” and can tuck it under my toes and still cover my shoulders! It’s got lots of settings, so I can set it for 1 hour up to 8 hours and not wake up freezing in the middle of the night. The heat settings are great as well, I keep it on the lower end because this puppy gets WARM, and does it QUICKLY so I don’t have to “preheat” It several minutes before getting into bed. I haven’t tried it on highest setting because the lower settings have been more than adequate. This blanket also has snaps on the side so you can turn it into a “shawl” but I have not used this feature yet. I also have not washed it yet, but I feel it will hold up well. I will come back and edit this review if there are any issues when I wash it. I will say that when I need to unplug the cord from the blanket, it’s MUCH easier to do than my previous blankets. I am a cold natured person so even this summer I needed a heated blanket to keep warm when sleeping. The size is more than enough, fits me from feet to about shoulder level and I am 5'6". What I love the most about this is that there is an extended timer on it up to 8 hours and you have heat settings from 1-10(level 10 is H for High) so you don't have to worry about burns at night while still keeping warm. It is incredibly soft and comfortable, I will never go to bed cold again. It has lasted so far and I bought it about a month ago. Definitely recommend it, especially for such an affordable price! The weight of the blanket isn't heavy but it's not so light that it doesn't feel like you don't have a blanket on. My only con about this is that if the cord comes unplugged from the blanket you have to plug it back in (obviously) and then unplug the plug from the WALL and then plug it back in for the error code to go away so you can use it again. ... show more

My old blanket bad just in 2 years thus got this one yesterday - it's delivered in hours, cannot imagine how amazon made it! The usage is simple and the controller looks modern and funtional with clear and big colorful fonts showing different measures, while it heated quickly even I set the lowerest heat level setting - btw, if I set level 10, it might tooo hot - maybe that's for old people. It warms you up pretty good and fast. But I guess it has some kind of safety built in, if it is folded over itself even a little then the heat cuts itself off (??). I was laying there trying it out and thought "I can't be acclimatized to this temperature that quickly! WTF?" Looked over and I had accidentally kicked the corner into folding over itself just a little. The heat distribution feels like it's coming out of the embedded wires. I purchased this for my mother because with winter here and it getting colder she is in more pain than usual. We've bought other electric blankets and my mom has not liked any of them as much as she likes this one for a couple of reasons. The 1st being it's very soft. 2nd it heats up quickly. 3rd I think the biggest one for her is that she can wrap it around her shoulders and snap it where she's cocooned in it when she's really cold and has to sit up or go somewhere. ... show more
