This was a gift for me. Hubby and I don't smoke, but we do love skulls and Celtic designs. This is mostly used as a decoration. Be careful when grabbing it as the crown does come off; it's not locked on or secured by anything. Since we rarely take it off it's easy to forget. The details are nice as well. Exactly what I wanted. It's smallish, wicked looking, and surprisingly low-key, it just looks like just another knick-knack on the desk. The lid is from the bottom part of his crown, with three notches that double as cigarette rests when open. And when the lid is on, you can't really tell it's a lid unless you picked it up. The inside isn't super deep, but enough for a couple smokers, or if you're solo, you can fit a glass snuffer inside http://www.amazon.com/Square-Jewel-Glass-Cigarette-Snuffer/dp/B00B5KTI52/ The lid also does a surprisingly good job at keeping the smells inside. This looks really cool sitting on a desk and you wouldn't even know it's an ashtray and it's nice and heavy. It is a little small so the cigarettes tend to fall out but I'm overall happy with it.

Bought as a gift for a friend but was so liked by my son it became his even though he does not smoke. It has now started a collection based on the Celtic crown. The workmanship is good, the detail sells a theme and to top it off it is still functional as an ashtray.
