This kit came with everything we needed to install the lights. The plastic mounting strips made it a sinch to install in a straight line without worrying about adhesive strips failing. The remote that comes with the lights is really nice and isn't like the little thin credit card remotes that come with most light kits. There are only 2 things I think could be improved on, and that is, a better instruction manual (mine was almost un readable due to inkjet printer running out of ink) and I would like to see a way to mount the controller inside the console. It says it is waterproof but cant be submerged but I would prefer to keep it where it is completely dry. All in all a very nice product! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I installed these lights by myself and it was honestly kind of difficult. It’s very easy to understand the process but getting the lights up in the little spots on my pontoon was extremely hard. The end result is amazing! I ordered the UV light kit for a 24' pontoon but I ended up with the 18' kit. You have to be real careful when ordering to get the right length. It's a small dropdown window option that defaults to 18'. After emailing customer service I got a response and they agreed to send me another LED strip (blue this time) to finish the job. The LED strips are 5 meters which is about 16 feet. They have a splice on both ends so you can string them together or cut one anywhere in the middle and still be able to use both ends. I'm doing UV on the back 2/3 of my boat and blue on the front 1/3 along with a couple super bright green LED underwater lights bolted to bracket on the bottom on my pontoon tubes at the stern. The tracks aren't the easiest things to install. You have to drill a small pilot hole and screw on a tiny metal clip that holds the track with the light inside it. I installed mine on an aluminum trim piece so I had to use different screws than the ones provided which are for screwing into wood. It's a lot of work but it will definitely be worth it when we take the boat to dinner on the lake. ... show more

My wife wanted to add LED light system for our pontoon boat after our neighbors added the exact same system. Lights were installed, worked great and everyone was happy. We returned ot the boat about 3 days later and when I went to start it, my battery was dead. I always make sure everything is turned off before leaving the boat. Jumped the boat, got motor started and then decided to install the inline power switch. After installing the switch, the lights would not come on. I removed the wire from the switch and wired it directly to battery. No lights. I contacted the company and Mark Collier, from Green Blob Outdoors responded and said he would send out new controller for the lights. What great customer service!! BUY THESE LIGHTS!!! ... show more

I purchased these lights in the middle of the Winter to have time to install before the boating season began. Now that I have installed them its way passed time to be illegible for a return. I have called the company service person named Mark, and I have emailed the company. Initially I received a response even on a Saturday from Mark, but missed his call and had to call back. After that initial call back he has never answered a call nor returned a call since. I emailed and received a response saying they would ask about my issue of the lights just not working, but never received any follow-up even after repeated emails. The instructions are horrible and don't make any sense. I have hooked up the light strip to power of my boats battery and have tested the wire at the point it connects to the lights with a good 12 to 13 volts. The lights just do not light up. At night you can just make out a flickering of the lights but that it. If I were you considering these lights I would go out and just through $200 bucks in the lake it will be just as satisfying as buying these worthless "lights". ... show more
