Not a big fan. Cons: I dont really see how this is any different than any other flip phone. To call someone on your contacts list took 4 clicks! Could not turn off text option. The biggest issue was the volume buttons on the side always got in the way. Every day my mom would mute the phone by mistake while holding it up to her ear to speak. There is an option to lock it into max volume we figured out later. My mom never got use to it. Speaker was poor quality. Pros: you could change the color if the highlight. You can lock in Xtra large font, you can set up speed dial which came in really handy but very hard to find that option. Cover is red so easier to find in the house. Mediocre at best. ... show more

To start when I googled jitterbug phone I read two different statements saying the cheapest package was $14.99, so i ordered the phone which was $99.99. After receiving it it turns out that offer is no longer available and they wouldn’t honor it and the cheapest package is $19.99. Then they add a $25.00 activation fee, $35.00 if u cant figure it out and they have to do it, and a monthly fee for taxes, fees and surcharges of $8.32 so the bill is actually $28.31. Also Everything is extra, you cant even use the big red emergency button without the upgraded package. I found it very complicated to set up the app, account and lively. The good thing is my dad is hard of hearing and he can hear pretty good on it so for that I’ll give it 3 stars. ... show more

Bought for my father who has had these for many years and enjoys the simplicity of them. This one bit harder to read in sunlight than the older model and a blocked number can still leave a voicemail but voicemail is easier to use than the older model. Really it works as good as another phone now days. Doesn't seem like any phone maker is trying as hard as they used to. ... show more

The phone in general is fairly easy to use, which is why we purchased it for an elderly person. Unfortunately, the phone would not complete the initial update and installation. Customer service worked with us and when it could not be resolved over the Phone ordered a replacement phone and had it updated and sent to us. It worked fine out of the box and included a pre-paid return envelope for the original phone that did not work. This version of Jitterbug does not have a Touch Screen, so the rating of 1 Star. ... show more

The phone is fine. The buttons are a little hard for an older person to use but manageable. My dissappointment is with lively. There is a $35 activation fee which comes to $43+ with tax and the $19.99 monthly fee is actually over $29 with fees! On top of that they incorrectly put the senior with dementia as the account holder instead of me (the purchaser and bill payer) and will only allow her to make changes even though I set it up and was told at the time that I could make changes any time. I called back this morning and spoke with an extremely helpful and knowledgeable representative who fixed all issues. My senior is now just the phone user and I plus another family member I chose handle everything related to the account. I am relieved and happy with this much better service. ... show more
