We have reorded this product several times. We have a popcorn machine at home and this works perfectly. It's easy to use. All you have to do is cut across the top of the bag and empty all three pockets into your machine after it has heated. The popcorn is consistently tasty, and the packaging keeps everything fresh until you want to use it. We recently found a couple extra bags that had been put away in storage when we were moving. Just to see, we prepared a batch that had been in a box for nearly 2 years. Might sound iffy, but it tasted perfectly fine. This has a great shelf life and always tastes great. Movie popcorn at home, you can't hate that!

We have ordered these before and when we were running low really wanted to use them again. They are perfect for popping corn. Everything is there and in the right proportions. They are easy to store since they lay flat and the popcorn is very good and fresh. This is a great value for the money.

So i have been buying this popcorn from amazon for year. I have tried the kernel oil and butter method. It ain’t the same. This stuff is literally better the theaters. Any guest that doesn’t see us pop it asks if we bought it at a Theator. The all in one packet method is the way to go. Just cut and pop. It just that simple. It’s way cheaper than buying the store bag stuff. Not too salty.

I bought the 4oz packs to go along with my 4oz Maxi Matic Elite 450 theater style popper. While waiting for the Great Northern packs to arrive I used some coconut oil from my local grocery store, Orville, pop secret and some butter flavored seasoning. My popcorn was chewy, full of tough tongue clinging hulls and low yield. Box arrived in great condition. No leaking packs. Packs are made of strong durable plastic that will withstand rough shipping. Packs are a little bigger than what the picture portrays. Generous portions of ingredients. Well worth the money. I popped the Great Northern tonight. 3 batches filled half of my 4oz popper. It was great! Tasted just like movie theater popcorn. Light, fluffy and full of flavor. As some have stated don't use all the season pack just use half as it will make your popcorn too salty. It did provide a higher yield than Orville or Pop Secret but there was a few old maids too but not as many as Orville and especially Pop Secret produced. Orville and Pop Secret are just way too tough and chewy for theater popcorn, better used for kettle corn. I suspect Orville and Pop Secret are genetically modified because of their mushroom size. As with anything genetically modified their size is enormous but they are tasteless. Like chewing cardboard with knife like hulls. I don't know what kind of corn Great Northern uses but it is a excellent grade and quality of corn that is more natural than Orville and Pop Secret. Overall, I liked the coconut oil from my grocery store better than the orange colored coconut oil in the Great Northern pack. It had more flavor and aroma than Great Northern. However, having everything already pre-measured is very fast and convenient. For this reason alone I will order more Great Northern. Pound for pound, so to speak you get more popped popcorn out of these packs than you will with the same measured amounts of Orville and Pop Secret. As stated, I was very pleased with the high yield from these packs especially with a family of 5. If you have a theater style popper you should definitely consider ordering some Great Northern packs. I highly recommend them.

I have been buying this brand of popcorn for years. I pop it in a movie theater kettle machine and it works awesome. I usually buy the 8oz. packets, but I found that was a little too much popcorn at one time for me. So, I decided to try the 2.5oz. packet size. That size pops well and I usually have very few unpopped kernals, however there is one small issue you should be aware of. It's not a deal-breaker, but if you are trying to decide between this size and the larger sizes, this may help you decide which size you should get. Because the popcorn is such a small portion, they have incorporated the popcorn salt into the kernels themselves. There is no separate pouch for the popcorn salt. Which means there is no way to portion the salt, it is pre-mixed in. In the larger packets, the salt is a separate pouch and so is ideal for adding as much or as little as you want after everything pops. Also, by allowing the kernels to pop and sit in the salty oil, they become tougher and unpleasantly chewier after they pop. Maybe it is because the overall volume of the popcorn is lower and so the popcorn sits in the oil longer, but none-the-less, they are noticeably tougher. To get arounds this, I just pop two packets at a time and it is the perfect amount. But I still miss not being able to control the level of salt. So, I can 100%, heartily reccomend this popcorn company for their quality and value. But unless you really don't want too much popcorn popped at one time, or you have a much smaller popcorn popper, then you might want to consider buying something 5oz or larger.

This is by far the best popcorn I have ever had. It is better than movie theater popcorn. It is salty and buttery. It is so easy and simple to make. There are a lot of extra seeds in my pan that do not pop because it is too full. I would suggest this product to anyone who is in love with popcorn.
