Very good bunk bed. The assembly of it was pretty simple. Although you are instructed to use hand tools, after hand tightening a lot of screws my hands gave up and I just used a very low speed drill so that I don’t split the wood. No noise at all and we’ve had this bed for almost 6 months now. Haven’t have to retighten any screws, hopefully after saying that it I hope I don’t find myself doing it. Would not buy again. Feels like very light wood and cracks easily when we assembled the frame. The instructions were clear and it was easy to assemble, but worried about the longevity of the bunkbed.

    • No headboard rails on lower bunk… pillow drops off unless it’s against the wall.

Once it’s assembled it’s nice and sturdy. I knocked a star off because there are no rails on the lower bunk where you’d have a headboard. Unless this is against the wall, your pillow is going to fall off the bed all night. I’ve never seen a bunk bed not have railings at the death and feet. We wanted this to be free floating in the middle of a space, but unless we make something to fill in the area to stop pillows from dropping off, we can’t. We also ordered an additional ladder to access the bed from the front, as another option. Overall, it’s a 4 star product. Wiggles less than the other bunk beds we’ve had in the past. ... show more

This bed is awesome. I lined all parts up and followed directions carefully. It took me about 3 hours to assemble alone. The steel bar is a nice added piece that many other bunk beds don’t have. I tested out the weight capacity. It can hold 400lbs and I’m 210. I got up on the top bunk and rolled around. It was very sturdy and did not creak. I really like the open design of it as well. Other beds have head and foot boards that enclose the space but my little girls love how open and fun it is:) I also love how the ladder is on the end instead of hanging over the front - which would cause the bedding to bunch against it. The ladder is not too hard or difficult for my 6 year old to climb to the top bunk. There is ample space under the bed as well for storage bins. And there is no extra leg under the bed like others that would cause bins to jam against or get caught on. We all really like this great bunk bed. I was definitely on the fence with this one against some others, and I’m glad I went with this one:) ... show more

This product came in one package, The pieces were clearly marked. The hardware took a little more time sorting out. After that assembly went smoothly. The bed is very sturdy. Because we placed the bed in a rental unit we added bunkie boards for more support but they are not necessary.
