Quality and color is amazing. Real cotton cloth dress. Has like a lace up back and that is a good thing. Runs big as I ordered a x large according to their measurements bit was much to big. So a friend bought it I ordered my normal in Medium which was great but yes long. I am 5 foot 3 in if that helps. Bonnet is well made the bill has some sort of stiff material in it. I let it sit over something to get the fold out of it. Apron is the kind of material kinda shiny and hard to iron On both dresses we received many compliments and others wanted to order also. Is very functional and will last many wears. Haven’t washed it. It is kinda hot inside with ac on bc of the high neck. ... show more

Amazed by the wonderful quality of workmanship and fabric. Spring and summer weight. Falls beautifully with a hoop slip. Back has cross- laces and an elastic back neck so, if it’s either too loose or too tight, the dress fits many different shapes. I wear a 14 (5’6” 175) and the 14 is just right. The cap and fishue is also very well made. Fabrics used to make the accessories was an unexpected surprise. Again, very good quality. G’Daughter put it on. I ordered this dress to use as a costume for a play I directed when I was in a pinch and needed a new costume in a hurry for one of my actors. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. It worked wonderfully for the play. It blended right in with the other more expensive custom made costumes and did not look cheap or out of place. My actor needed a size 6 but they were temporarily out of sock in the color that I wanted so I ordered the size 10. With the laces in the back it can cinch in a lot, but I still ended up taking it in a little more to make my actor feel more comfortable and confident. I also added lace trim to the sleeves and some yellow ribbon trim on the bodice just to make it look a little less "prairie" and more colonial. The cotton fabric made it so quick and easy to sew on these little extra details without any damage to the fabric so they will be easy to remove if I need the dress to look more plain for a future project. My only complaint (which is very minor) is that the pattern on the fabric is printed, not woven, which is usually a sign of cheaper fabric, so the inside of the dress is white. The only place where that is visible when wearing the dress is in the sleeve ruffles. It also wrinkles fairly easily. Overall, I was very happy with this purchase. I would have been hard pressed to make this dress for this price, and it was absolutely worth it for all the time I saved. The shawl and mob cap were also high-quality and they looked great! I purchased this dress to wear at DAR events. I ordered the shorter sleeve sleeve as it felt more colonial to me. The fabric pattern is so cute and I received so many compliments on it. The size was great. The only struggle that I had was that the upper sleeves was tight, but bearable. It fit wonderfully everywhere else. The elastic on the hat is very soft and easy to wear, not tight! The length was great. I have already washed everything. I just pu it in my washer on delicate. I hung everything up to dry. Once it was dry I tossed it on the tumble cycle in my dryer with a damp sock and no wrinkles or ironing. Love it! I will probably purchase another in an another pattern. Everyone else had on handmade dresses. One lady told me that just the material and things alone without the sewing was over $100 for her dress. I felt like mine held its own and was great! ... show more
