This is a perfect all around basic for every wardrobe. I have some that are longer and don’t button. I have some that are shorter more cropped some with embroidery. This is plain and simple a normal length button up white cardigan. You can use on chilly evenings in the summer or in restaurants or you could wear over a long sleeve shirt and only button it halfway to the middle so many things you can do but there’s so many things you can’t do without it highly pleased with this purchase and the quality is amazing, which is not unusual for Grace Karin pieces. normally I would wear a large however I wanted the extra space to wear over something with long sleeves in the winter ordered an XL. I'm 5'2 and 135 lbs. The sweater fits perfectly in the shoulders and in the length of the arm and the overall sweater length. However, it fit tight in the bust. I'm a little busty, so I think a large would have been better if I want to button the sweater, but i'm going to just not button it since all the other dimensions fit well. It’s a bit more expensive than I expected but the material is soft and lightweight, not bulky. Haven’t washed it yet so can’t speak on shrinkage. May purchase more later in other colors. Beautiful, durable, classic cardigan at an excellent price. I have bought 5 now. Colors are true. They come neatly folded in tissue paper with a ribboned packet of spare button. I highly recommend. Ocasionally they are on sale, I just received one for 14.99, cannot do better than that anywhere.

I ordered a Large which should have been roomy but I can only button it up if I don't mind looking like a stuffed sausage. The buttonholes are pretty flimsy and need to be reinforced if you plan on buttoning it. I don't how the fabric looks. . It is definitely not a typical weave. However, the color is perfect as is how the sleeves fit. I opted to keep it as I will only wear it unbuttoned. I probably would have returned this but that takes an hour our of my day.
