Stability of my Garmin unit
I love this GPS holder. I use it for my Garmin and it is the best unit I have had. It holds the unit tight and secure without having to adjust knobs and brackets. I highly recommend this dash holder.

Yes, buy it! Stops sun from overheating your devices, easy to mount, etc.
This has a fairly strong spring clamp, so be careful with your hands. The good news is that it holds your device securely, whether phone or GPS. i like it a lot. Well designed, elegant solution, good looks, and good functionality. It keeps the sun from heating your device on dashboard and shading it for easy reading - this is a huge plus! Easy to mount it. Many states do not allow you to mount phone or GPS on your windshield (CA is one). So you should mount them on dashboard. Enter the clamshell mount. Problem solved. Also, the windshield is very hot with the sun beating down and overheating your poor device. This is what broke my GPS ring mount - it cracked with heat over time. Definitely get this. So very functional!

Sturdy and Easily Used
This is the best one I have purchased. It folds down nicely to minimize the view on the dash. The GPS is removed for security and inserted so easily. I'll buy it again if ever needed.

Solid and easy
Very stable with the extra strength velcro I used to mount it to my dash. Even with the gap underneath. It straddles between the dash and my tablet screen. I have a 2022 Ford Edge sel. It has a dash indent/tray but I use that for other things and the vents wouldn't work for a mount. I originally bought it as a cell phone mount so I could use my phone as a GPS. But I found out my old Gamin nuvi 50 fits just fine as well. I didn't even realize that I could still get updates for the garmin until after i used the phone..
