  • Decent hardware, broken windows product key
Machine has stolen licenses. Out of box. Decent hardware. BUT Reset machine for security reasons when i got it. And windows wont activate anymore. Company appears to be using some weird activation method to save money on windows activation. They used generic activation keys for this , evidence provided in image Windows 10 Home - FC2HD Windows 10 Pro - WFG6P ... show more

  • Its the dream netbook of my youth
My first laptop in high school was a cheap netbook and it was probably my most favorite electronic device of my youth. Ultra portable and great for note taking and browsing the web. It did have some shortcomings like pretty low tier hardware and poor graphical performance but I loved that thing and still kinda miss till this day. The MicroPC is what I always dreamed of when I was a freshmen in HS. Its awesome. Its far more graphically competent and its hardware isn't at all sluggish. It is even more portable than my netbook back then and is just a blast to use. The only downside is the keyboard is pretty cramped but so was the keyboard on that netbook way back when. Typing on it is far easier than it looks at first glance and after a small amount of time you get used to it. If you need to type anything serious like a paper, you can just connect a bluetooth or wired keyboard. The screen is definitely small but it is not too hard to read thanks to the pretty good and clear display. I don't game much but the limited amount of casual gaming I do on it runs fine and with its hardware it is far more competent than of netbook's past. If you are a parent whose kid is entering high school, I highly recommend it. If you are someone who values portable computing, I highly recommend it. Overall I highly recommend in general. ... show more

  • Great for audio sampling!
Unlike most, I didn't buy this device to game on. I bought this device, as a sampler box for live instruments. It has an awesome low latency, and can easily handle 3 instruments at 16 bit 96Khz stereo 64 samples. That's <6ms of latency, though it feels more like 12. As long as it's below 100ms it's good for live play. I play EWI, and run some wind instrument software with it. The cons of this device: The screen hinge is a little hard to adjust. I read about people who had the screen hinge break. The battery is Chinese, which means it's prone to blow up (no warranty) in a year. My particular model, ran at 10W, and I couldn't change this and save the bios, or the screen would go blank. The battery only lasts about 2 hours. And it needs a quick charger to charge the device. A 9V 2.2A charger charges it slowly (20W). You can also have it charge at 12V 2A (25W). But it doesn't charge from a standard 5V 2.4A plug. It's 720p native screen resolution is a bit limiting for any OS that requires at least 768 vertical pixels (both Windows 10, and most linux distributions). The screen looks good, but OS GUI text is somewhat hard to read on the small screen and low resolution. Pros: It has an external hdmi and VGA connector for an external monitor, and 3x usb 3.x ports. It has sufficient ram and rom for the average user. SSD is expandable to 1TB (m.2). It has a full version of Windows 10 pro 64 bit installed. Probably the smallest device I've ever owned, smaller than my netbooks. It has enough power to play basic games on it's 720p screen. No ray tracing, not the most modern games either. No flight simulators that need 768p or greater. Is powered by a usb type c to c cable. I purchased this leatherette bag that fits this device + headphones and charger: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1IUOTE I like it better than the factory brown leather bag from GDP for the micro. ... show more

  • Great little micro PC
I guess it depends on what you intend to use it for, but for my purposes this little guy does great. It is fast for it's specs and gets good battery life depending on what you're doing. Mostly for me, that's older games that aren't action based - so mostly RPGs/strategy. The only thing that is tough for me is that the 1280x800 resolution seems "weak" but at 6" that's pretty "high res" in that it's tiny and hard to read the text not because it's fuzzy - it's actually quite clear "retina quality"- but because it's so small. We also bought one of these for work because of the DB9 serial port right on the little guy - great for connecting to old machinery that still uses pre-USB serial communications. Sure, you can use an adapter, but this is cleaner. In any case, two thumbs up! I also have their new ultrabook on order for when it comes out in September - looking forward to that! ... show more

  • The Battery Died Permanently in Less than 3 Months of Average Usage, No Help From Manufactuerer
I loved this computer for the 3 months it worked. It was perfect for what I needed and I couldn't have been happier. However the battery stopped taking a charge in less than 3 months. It has an internal battery that isn't accessible without taking the computer apart. The manufacturer did not provide any support outside of giving me a link for a $100+ replacement battery. The computer still ran if it was plugged in to a power source, but the utility of this device is that it is mobile. This product is defective and the manufacturer should have addressed and replaced the units it sold. I will never buy or recommend this brand to anybody. You're better off making your own mini laptop with a raspberry pi. ... show more
