The Govee Christmas Lights 2, RGBWIC 164FT 500 LED String Lights offer a premium experience for holiday decor enthusiasts, blending cutting-edge innovative features with exceptional performance. With a length of 164 feet and 500 vibrant LEDs, these lights are designed for indoor and outdoor use, making them perfect for Christmas trees, homes, patios, and various festive setups. Here's a detailed look at what makes these lights stand out: Pros Exceptional Brightness and Vibrant LEDs: The Govee Christmas Lights deliver impressive brightness thanks to their high-quality RGBWIC LEDs. Each LED produces vivid, saturated colors that remain consistent and bright across the 164-foot length. Whether you want a classic white glow or a colorful, dynamic display, the LEDs offer excellent visibility even in daylight, enhancing the festive spirit. Customizable Colors and Lighting Functions: One of the standout features of these lights is the ability to customize colors and lighting effects fully. The RGBWIC technology allows for an expanded color palette, including warm white and cool white tones, giving users complete control over the ambiance. With over 130 scene modes available, you can choose from pre-set themes like "Christmas," "Romantic," and "Fireworks," or create your unique displays. The lights can also sync to music, providing a dynamic light show that reacts to the beat, making it ideal for parties or gatherings. User-Friendly Govee App: The Govee App is intuitive and well-designed, offering a seamless experience for controlling the lights. The app allows for easy pairing via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, providing reliable connectivity. Features like the Shape Mapping Function let you map out the placement of the lights for precise control over specific sections, enabling detailed customization. Whether adjusting the colors, changing scene modes, or setting a timer, the app provides a robust set of controls that are easy to navigate. Ease of Pairing and Smart Integration: Pairing the lights with the Govee App is straightforward and takes just a few moments. Once connected, the lights can also be integrated with smart home systems like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing for hands-free voice control. This makes it convenient to turn the lights on or off, change colors, or switch modes without using your phone. Cons Higher Price Point: The Govee Christmas Lights are priced at the premium end of the market. However, this higher cost is justified by the superior quality, brightness, and extensive customization options they offer. The performance and advanced features, such as the shape mapping function and smart home compatibility, provide significant value that offsets the initial investment. While the price may be a consideration for some, the overall experience and durability make these lights worthwhile for those seeking high-quality holiday decor. Final Verdict The Govee Christmas Lights 2, RGBWIC 164FT 500 LEDs are a standout choice for anyone looking to elevate their holiday decorations. The lights offer incredible brightness and vibrant color options, backed by an impressive range of customization features. The user-friendly Govee App enhances the experience with intuitive controls and intelligent integration capabilities. Although the price is on the higher side, it is well compensated by the product's exceptional performance, quality, and versatility. Overall, these lights deliver an outstanding experience, blending style and functionality with ease of use. Given the comprehensive features and top-tier quality, I would rate this product 5 out of 5 stars. It is an excellent investment for creating memorable holiday displays that will impress you.

These are the best Christmas trees lights ever. I bought a 9' Christmas tree from King of Christmas and was a little concerned that I didn't purchase the pre-lit version. I purchased these lights because I have the TV backlight and I have experience with their app so I had some idea of how they should work. They come in various lengths and I bought the 99' version. I wasn't sure that was enough so I did some research and bought another 99' strand. These lights DO NOT physically connect. I knew this but again, I purchased lights from govee before so I had an idea of how they should work, and work they did. With the app you are able to group the sets together. I have no idea how exactly it knows where the bottom of the tree and the top of the tree is, where the one set begins and the other one ends, but it does, and it does it well. They are extremely easy string up because the LEDs are inline, they are easy to put away because they roll up neatly in the spool. With the app you can individually color each light, use preset scenes, have the lights dance with music, the options are almost limitless. I don't write too many reviews on Amazon, but I'm so impressed with them that I'm going to add another 99' strand for next year. Quality product, phenomenal price when on sale (actually would pay full price and wouldn't feel as if I paid too much the product is that good) you can mix and match strand sizes and they coordinate seamlessly. This is one of the best things I've ever purchased. I believe I will enjoy these for years to come.

Beautiful and bright. So many options for patterns and colors. Installation was easy and they don’t get tangled like most other light sets. The remote control Is great as is the app for your phone, that makes it convenient to be able to surprise people in the room by changing the colors or patterns like magic! I am adding a couple of photos but this was with just one set and before we added ornaments or tinsel. Love these and am ordering another set for more decor around the house.

Only connected to the app and tested for now, but I’m going to start this with 5 stars for a few reasons: First off, I found that their white mixing (while not a true ww cct light) was surprisingly accurate to what a warm white would produce. Personally, I feel there’s too much green in the 4000k+ on their mock ctt, but I prefer warm white which appears to sit at about 3200k. I prefer these dot lights over the bullet option for their discrete appearance. Govee did well with the app as always. With this tech, the possibilities are high with external scene creations, such as scene remotes or phone widgets. There appears to be a feature where you can use your phone’s camera with the app in order to proximate exactly how your string is positioned in order to run more complex, display scenes. I’ll elaborate more on that in my review update. I tried their tree curtain last year and I did not like it. Not only was it buggy, it was also ugly. It kind of lorded over the tree with its presence and as soon as ornaments were introduced, it lost its ability to run apparent images. As it was, it was cool for what it was, but it was not for me. This string should appear to be more natural to the tree with all of its ornaments. Sure, some may say it’s high for the price, but you have to consider the possibilities. If you’re looking for something to run colors with no complexity, this probably isn’t it. If you’re looking for something quality to fully integrate into your smart home, look no further. I now have 18 govee lights and love their products. You can just keep expanding and creating a visual, year round lighting landscape with their products. They are THE brand for permanent holiday lighting that doubles as ambient lighting in the off seasons. To be able to program automatic holiday lights is just superb compared to hanging and removing strings once a year. Happy Lighting!

These Govee Christmas Lights 2 have been absolutely great for us. They were easy to put up, and the phone app is simple to use with a lot of fun options. The effects look awesome, and the shape mapping feature makes it even better if you like customizing how your tree looks. We’ve been using these for about 2 years now and they’re still amazing. They’re also easy to store and quick to set up again the next season, which matters a lot when you’re dealing with a long string like this. They work really well for large to medium trees—99 feet gives you plenty of coverage. And honestly, the best part is the reliability: you don’t get that typical headache where one bulb fails and you’re stuck troubleshooting half the strand. They all light up consistently, and the set feels sturdy and well made. Highly recommend if you want smart holiday lights that actually last and don’t create extra work. If you want, tell me roughly how tall your tree is (e.g., 7 ft, 9 ft, 12 ft), and I can add that detail to make the review even more helpful to shoppers.

I really do like these lights. They are so much easier to put on the a normal Christmas light because they don’t tangle so much I ended up buying I believe the 66 foot one for my 7 1/2 foot tree and I did feel like I could’ve used more lights so probably next time I would’ve bought the 99 foot. The lights are gorgeous. I love how you can change all the colors and how you can change different settings to make them do different things. It’s so beautiful because I was used to just using one color of lights usually white and I hadn’t put colored lights in a long time. I would highly recommend these, but make sure you try to get them when Govee is having a sale, they weren’t too expensive for me again I would highly recommend these lights against your traditional Christmas lights that you buy in the store. I could never get the right shade of white, but this ones you can also mess with different colors of white and different colors of everything. I might use these for another part of my house and buy a longer string for the tree. I also love that you can do the musical movement with the lights as well when you put music on so cool and it is controlled by Alexa.

Game changer! I decorate my front window for many holidays throughout the year with different sets of colored Christmas lights. They are a pain to put up and take down due to multiple reasons. I bought these lights so I can put the lights up and leave them there year round and can change the colors and themes to different holidays. I just took down my standard orange lights yesterday and replaced them with these for Halloween. I used a Halloween pre-set theme that changes colors and does different flickering and flashing. They look amazing! I am very excited at the possibilities for future holidays. It’s also excellent that they are LED. My previous light sets were not LED and would get warm. They were really easy to set up in the app. I am still learning all the capabilities, but just the few options I did play around with are awesome. I also really love I don’t need to hook them up to an external timer because that’s built into the app. I’ll update my review if anything changes, but I am VERY happy with this purchase!

I’ll start by saying I really like the Govee Christmas Lights 2—especially how bright they are. I used them to wrap my outdoor Christmas tree, and they lit it up perfectly, even from a distance. The RGBWIC color options give a nice range of colors and whites, and the 164-foot length with 500 LEDs made it easy to cover the tree well without gaps. Setting them up was simple, and I loved being able to customize light effects through the app. The dynamic effects like chasing, falling, and music sync are pretty cool and fun for holiday parties. But here’s my real frustration: there’s no twinkle effect that slowly cycles through solid colors. That was actually the one effect I wanted most—especially since I have older Govee string lights (Version 1) that do have it. I was trying to match all the lights in my yard, and it looked great when they all twinkled in sync. But this newer version doesn’t have that basic, classic option, which is kind of ridiculous. It feels like Govee added more flashy effects but removed a simple, beloved one that people actually use. Sometimes less is more, and a soft, color-shifting twinkle just fits the Christmas vibe better than constant motion or strobing. Update 04/01/2026: So i purchased the 328ft variant back in December 2024. Yesterday I woke up to find the light not working with basically only one led flashing. After trying to connect to it and unplugging it several times, it isn't working. I reached out to Govee support and basically stated this is outside of the replacement period and basically out of luck. It's discouraging purchasing this for $400 and less than 2 years later it stopped working. I won't purchase this again.
