7/14/2023: After initially having been denied warranty support, the GoTrax folks stepped up and made this right. They were prompt in their communications and they made every effort to resolve the issue. Although I was out of town and slow to respond, they worked with me and were very pleasant and patient with me. WEI was a representative who seemed to genuinely care about making this right and I am thankful for those efforts. After this situation got the attention of the right person, I was given 100% support. They absolutely came through for my daughter. Thank you to Wei Z and Jane! PREVIOUS POST: AVOID THIS PRODUCT! This scooter is designed with a battery connector that makes poor contact, thereby heating up and melting the connector. This is due to a bad design, not abuse. When this happens, the scooter is unusable and you have to buy an entire battery assembly, not just a connector. Worse, GoTrax has a 1 year warranty, EXCEPT for AMAZON sales which is reduced to 180 days. My daughter's scooter lasted more than 180 days but far less than one year. GoTrax won't warranty the part and has no batteries in stock to sell. My 10 year old saved her own money to buy this scooter and it has failed with ZERO support. AVOID GOTRAX AT ALL COSTS. Their conduct has been SHAMEFUL! From GoTRAX: Hello Jason Thank you for your email. Thank you for all the information you have provided. We are very sorry to hear that your scooter is out of warranty. We see that your scooter battery appears to be faulty, so it may be causing poor contact. The product is terrible it works just long enough to so the return window closes after it breaks down. The first time I got this scooter it would continuously beep without stooping even if the battery was full and had less than 25 minutes of battery life instead of the described "more than 1hour of playtime". So I returned it to Amazon and got a replacement. The replacement did NOT work well either, it worked nicely for 30 days (just enough to pass the return window) then on day 31 the wheel protector stuck to the wheel for no reason as you could see in the picture, which made it stop moving. I contacted their customer service and was told that it had a screw that was not tightened inside the motor I checked and that screw was perfectly fine. I told them that and they told me to go to a mechanic to fix it and they would pay me a reasonable amount of money after seeing my receipt. Return was not offered as an option. update -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After seeing my review gotrax customer service contacted me and here is the full letter: RMA GOTRAX (GOTRAX) Mar 1, 2022, 5:42 AM CST Dear Arthur, Sorry for the inconvenience. Glad to serve you. We hear your feedback that "Return was not even offered as an option. This was my experience with them hope you learned NOT to buy this product." We do apologize for the bad shopping experience bring to you. And we really hope that you can give us another chance to make things right. To express my apology, pls kindly let us know your mailing address and phone number. We are willing to send you a new replacement for free. So that you can enjoy the new scooter again.
