We purchased this scooter for my in-laws to use when traveling in their RV because every time they need to run a quick errand to a store or the markets, they would have to pick up their camp area and close the RV to use it to get to said shops/stores. So we wanted to get them something that was lightweight enough that they could easily load it in/out of the RV storage cubby and gave them the option to travel a couple miles from their camp without having to close up and use the RV when they had the need to go to a store. They have been using it a few weeks now on their recent camping trip and so far they have been loving the scooter! The scooter is the perfect size for my mother in law and the little basket works great for holding a couple shopping/grocery bags for the quick trips she has taken it on. Even my father in law who was hesitant about being able to handle his weight/height has used it to get to the little lakes close to their campsites to do a little fishing! They haven't had any issues so far and have even recommended it to a few of their other RV travel buddies because it's been working so well for them! The media could not be loaded. The Gotrax Flex Electric Scooter has become fun and useful for short commutes around town for me. With its long range of 16 miles, I can easily use it to run some errands and back home without worrying about recharging the battery. The maximum speed of 15 mph is perfect for cruising around town, and the pneumatic tire provides a smooth ride, even on bumpy roads. One of the standout features of this electric scooter is the comfortable seat with a thick cushion. It makes riding for extended periods a breeze and is perfect for those who have back issues. The seat height is also perfect for my wife, who is on the shorter side. The carrying basket is another added bonus, making it easy to pick up light groceries or carry a small bag while riding. One thing that impressed me was the maximum load capacity of 220lbs. As a person who weighs 240lbs, I was a bit skeptical about the scooter's ability to carry me comfortably, but I was pleasantly surprised. The scooter had no issues carrying my weight and provided a smooth ride. The scooter's foldable design is another standout feature, making it easy to store in tight spaces or carry on public transportation. I can easily fold it up and take it on the train or bus when I need to travel longer distances. Its lightweight design also makes it easy to carry up the bike rack in my garage. this scooter works perfectly for what i needed! super easy to put together, came fully charged, and is quite heavy duty. for reference i am a 5’11 man probably 190 lbs and i love the size of it. i was worried it would feel to small but it’s super comfortable. i can zip around town in just a few minutes now. it’s very quiet and speeds up nicely, loses some steam on hills but i still got up them just fine. battery life is great, i can go full throttle for about 4 miles before it goes down at all. brakes are very strong and nice, it can handle small potholes and bumps like a champ, and the lights are quite bright. overall great commuter scooter! ... show more

Unboxing and assembly was a breeze. The only thing you have to actually screw on is the basket, which is well built, light weight and good looking, but way too small especially with the sides angling inward. I replaced it with a 13" x 11" x 5" basket from the Container Store with straight sides. I attached it with wire ties and it works great to carry a bag of ice, a bag of groceries or a take out order of food. I will probably screw it down later. It is sturdy, well made and weights less than 50 pounds, making it easy to carry if need be. The adjustable rear suspension is a nice addition. I never rode on a scooter before, though I have owned several motorcycles, so there was a learning curve on my part. It took me a little while to get used to the steering, which I initially found to be way too light, with no feel or resistance to it, even rolling down the road. It felt like walking on ice, very squirrely. Then as I rode more, I discovered that I was probably trying to input too much steering, when actually you should just keep the front wheel relatively straight and turn by leaning in the direction you want to go. The manual, though pretty good on its own, didn't mention any of that. Performance was as expected, between 13 to 15 mph on the straight and level. On an incline, it would drop to as little as 5 mph. I didn't go 16 miles on it, perhaps half of that, and the battery level had dropped to 2 bars. Charging took about 5 hours. If you consider it can go 15 miles in 1 hour and it takes 5 hours to charge, that's a 1:5 ratio, which isn't great, but apparently on a par for electric scooters. I would rate this scooter 4.5 stars overall, due mainly to the limited battery time and the small basket. A second interchangeable battery would be a great feature for the manufacturer to consider in order to extend it's range, especially if you use it to commute. I would recommend it. ... show more
