Edited 6/17/23 - Gotrax ended up giving me an identical replacement hoverboard, which surprised me. They paid to ship my old hoverboard back, and once UPS scanned the tracking number in, they shipped me a replacement. They even followed up regarding the review below. Overall I am pleased with how they handled my issue. Purchased new Gotrax E5 hoverboard in May 2022, gave to daughter for bday in June 2022, used for 4mos then charged and stored indoors for Winter. In Spring 2023, hoverboard won't turn on & won't charge. Contacted Gotrax and they think it is a battery problem, but say that since batteries are expensive they don't sell replacements. Also, I'm out of warranty so sorry about my luck. (see below) Absolutely unacceptable in my mind that a $300 hoverboard is non-operable and non-serviceable in first year of use!!! I have 3 Gotrax hoverboards in this state now...what a waste! Never again Gotrax! Gotrax service reply, "Thank you for all the information you have provided. I am very sorry to hear that your hoverboard is out of warranty. We have reviewed the video and determined that there is a problem with the battery in your hoverboard. Because of the high cost of batteries. So we are not selling any batteries. The cost of the battery is equivalent to almost being able to buy a new hoverboard.     • Best Hoverboard- My Son's best summer friend
In total i have three GOTRAX products, Two Hoverboards and one electric scooter and i love all 3 of them. My 12 year old spent at least an hour each day with his E4 Hoverboard this entire summer. He used it on all surfaces, concrete, dirt, lawns , uneven surfaces etc.., it worked like a charm for about 4 months and suddenly it wont charge. I reached out to the customer care and they were very friendly and quick in responses and trying to understand the issue. After sending couple of videos, customer support diagnosed to motherboard failure. They sent return label to ship this back, but i was pleasantly surprised to receive brand new Gotrax E4. Over all the item is very durable and works well on elevated surfaces as well. charge holds for easily 3 to 5 miles ( that's the max my son used on each day before he charged ). The media could not be loaded. Will update after I hear back from the company. We just got this yesterday and it constantly beeps and flashes the red light. We have charged it and calibrated it and it still does it. We literally have only had it for 24 hours. Luckily I paid for the extra warranty but was hoping I wouldn't have to use it this soon. We have previously had a gotrax hoverboard before this one and it was great thats why I stayed with the company. Updated a star as gotrax has been in contact with me and they are replacing the hoverboard. Update pt 2 I stayed in contact with the company and they deemed that there was an issue with the control board. They sent a new one and it came in today. Firstly, it came in good packaging there was no sign of damage or anything. Fresh out of the box I was greeted with full charge of battery and detailed manual. It only took 5 minutes to get used it. For the size it can go ridiculously fast. I was easily able to ride through small ditches with its big tires. Like mentioned it lasted for about 7 miles on full charge. If you do fall, it will stop. The small splash guard came in handly while riding through wet surfaces. While not in use, I was able to use it as Bluetooth speaker as well which is plus. Piece of crap. I have returned twice and finally requested refund. I was told to go thru Amazon. NEVER buy from this company. Charger quit working after charging ONCE. My nephew got to ride this maybe 4 times in eight months.

This is WAY bigger than the 6.5 inch hoverboards but it’s just as easy to use. Bought for my 6 year old and she loves it. I love it too. We have a really steep driveway and I went down it on this thing and it self regulated and didn’t speed out of control which I thought was really good. Very decent battery life and enough speed for me (she always wants to go faster though 🫤). Works well in the grass too. ... show more
