Once I bought these, I stopped by all other bagged lettuce. This lettuce stays fresh for at least a week, and the taste is quite good. It just feels like you are eating something better. I hope them come out with more blends. The bag itself stands up to use over the week. I have bought about 5 or 6 of these bags since I discovered this brand a couple months back. My husband started buying this for lunches throughout the week. First of all, it’s a quality producer so the leaves are tender and delicious. He puts a paper towel in and it stays fresh for a long time! It’s a wonderful bargain for the size. The lettuce is a flexible mix that can be used for sandwiches and salads and everything else. This is the only salad I buy now. It’s safe to eat because it’s greenhouse and all contained. And when I tell you it never wilts! I’ve kept some in the fridge for like five days and it’s still super crispy. I can make two big entree salads out of one bag. You could probably get more, but I love a big salad. ... show more

    • BEST LETTUCE EVER!
This lettuce is worth the fee to get groceries from Amazon. It’s so good. It’s a great price (3.99 not on sale) for 10oz. So much cheaper than my other local grocery stores (3 chains!) and Amazon is the only one I’ve found that sells the big bag. Typically it comes dated at least a week out. Unlike every other brand of bagged lettuce I’ve bought, Gotham Greens don’t immediately start decaying after the bag is opened. I have thrown out so much bagged lettuce because it goes bag before it’s supposed to. And this stuff is cheaper! Another big benefit is lots of the leaves are big enough to put on a sandwich—can’t do that with Dole or Taylor Farms bagged lettuce—and oh my gosh, the crunch it makes when tearing it up for salad! They taste great. Only problem I have is have you ever put something in your cart and just a short time later the price jumps. That’s the deal here.
