These are pretty cheap and flimsy feeling, but are sufficient for kickball, tball, or backyard games on grass. The fact that they're lightweight and can be rolled up and thrown in an equipment bag makes them a good option for practices or activities at the park or away from where they'll be stored. They don't have any grip on the bottom so they work much better on grass than they do on dirt. Great quality bases. They are thick quality. My kids love them. I purchased them for my classroom to play kickball and they’re having a ton of fun. They’re not too heavy, but not too light easy to transport and carry around but still feel like they’re well built,great quality.

    • Good for Backyard Fun – But Wish They Were Thicker!

I bought the GoSports Baseball & Softball 5 Piece Base Set for some backyard baseball games and light practice sessions with my kids, and overall, I’m pretty happy with the purchase. This set has a lot going for it, but there’s one thing holding me back from giving it 5 stars. What’s Great About This Set: First off, the fact that it’s a complete 5-piece set (including first, second, third, home plate, and a pitcher’s rubber) makes it super convenient. It’s everything you need to quickly set up a field layout whether you’re at the park, in the yard, or at practice. The bases are bright white, easy to spot, and made from soft rubber, making them safe for kids to run and step on. Easy to Use and Portable: The portability of this set is a big plus. They’re lightweight and easy to carry around, and they store away neatly without taking up too much space. Great for families on the go or coaches who need something quick to throw down for practice. Durability and Performance: For casual use, the rubber material holds up well. We’ve used them on grass and dirt several times, and they haven’t shown signs of cracking or splitting. They’re also easy to clean, even after dusty practices or muddy games. They stay in place fairly well on grass and dirt, though they can shift a little if someone hits them at full speed. The One Downside – Thickness: The main reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the thickness. The bases are thinner than I expected. They feel a bit flimsy compared to league-grade bases, and in windy conditions, they sometimes blow around unless we weigh them down a bit. Also, during more aggressive play, they can slide slightly when players step on them hard. For backyard fun or drills with younger players, it’s fine—but if you’re looking for something super sturdy for heavy use, you might want to consider a thicker, heavier set. ⸻ Final Thoughts: If you’re buying for backyard games, casual practice, or youth drills, this is a great, affordable option. The GoSports 5 Piece Base Set gets the job done and offers great value for the price. I just wish the bases were a little thicker and heavier for better stability. These have been a great addition to the regular old toy box in the garage. We pull them out at parties for the kids playing baseball, kickball, and even the adult kickball! They've held up so well and don't slip and slide. The white makes it easy to see in the grass while playing and I love that it came with a pitchers mound. Very thin, flat, cheap. For 15 bucks can’t complain. Kids don’t mind. They move around super easily. They work for toddlers but would not recommend for anything serious. Even older kids could use them just don’t expect high quality.
